Resort Changers--The Saga Continues.....

Are the corridors at the Poly enclosed? Ya never see pictures of the hallways!!

Yes, the inside of the longhouses have interior hallways. You just have to walk outside to get to the other buildings!

Hey, if you are "emotionally invested" in CSR then stay put - but I do have to warn you that CSR is a moderate resort and the club level there is "business club" not deluxe level club. Even the deluxe level club facilities are not as good as those you can find outside of WDW property.

However, that pool at CSR is really awesome looking, and they do have other deluxe amenities there. So you really aren't getting that much if you trade up to a deluxe, just more on site restaurants. My big thing is the difference in space. If you stayed at CR vs CSr you would get more room space plus a daybed. I have a teenage boy, and need to have more space in a room now, so I would go for the deluxe.

I know I didn't help much, but I tried! :goodvibes

UGH! Well that didnt help!:rotfl2: Of course I didnt look at at that I was spending more money.....:rolleyes1

How often do deals like this come along anyway? Why not go for it, then you can get the "switcheritis" out of your system? ;)

I am a resort snob. We always stay at a deluxe. This time, I vow not to change. We are making this trip ultra budget-minded. We just took advantage of the new discount for 2009, but I am sticking to our original AS Movies plan.

Thanks for posting this!

Have had a morning full of numbers, plans, scenarios!!! Thanks for all the comments TRYING to help me!:rotfl2:

So for right now, here is my thinking.....

I am a resort snob,..however, I should take advantage of this special so I do NOT spend more money,.

I am a DVC member so its not like I will not be staying at AKV in the future, (we are just really low in the points right now..I can hear the :rolleyes1 from all of you....:lmao: )

So I did book AKL....had 2 reservations , much to the surprise of this CM...so this is what I decided.

Take advantage of the promo....cancelled CSR CL for 4 nights, (w/dining was 1604)

(Cancelled the couple hours old AKL res)

Booked 5 nights CSR Water View (only thing available), 1 day base for 2, dining plan and a $200 gift card..total 1551...

So I am getting 1 extra night, 2 -1 day passes, and a $200 gift card and saved $53 from original CSR plan...but no business club level....

I think that was good choice. I think having the extra night is totally worth it. Next time you will be able to try club level if you want and by then all kinks will have been worked out of the new service. Are you going to the PPP?

:) I kept visualizing all these business men in the lounge...and my DD11 and I sitting there.....and me thinking, was it worth it? Too soon to tell what the CL will be like there...you are right though! My friend did mention the new service/kinks aspect to it!

I have done PPP twice last year and DD once....if a decent AP rate comes out, then sure, especially if I dont get her a hopper. I love the parade and fireworks..we did it for her 10th bday ...so it will be nice to do for her 12th:)

Okay resort changers, I need some help. We currently have room only ressies for a deluxe room at WL in May. We can't ue the new deal with the deluxe room, but we could switch to LVCL at the Poly, or deluxe CL level at the BWI or BC and save $1300-1800 . What would you do?

What did you decide??? Inquiring minds want to know? Even though I ended up not changing resorts, but changing packages, I feel like I got it out of my system....thanks kaffinito!!:rotfl2:

I was hoping I wouldn't post again on here ;) but I changed again :rotfl: I couldn't resist the new Disney deal and have now booked the BWI CL, can't wait :dance3:

I'm really excited as I love the BWI but haven't stayed there since before the refurb.

I definitely won't be changing again though - my TA would personally kill me :lmao:

OK, quick, which rooms have recently been rehabbed? Here is what I know:
GR 2008
Poly 2006
CSR 2009 (but new queen beds in 08)
CBR 2008

Can anyone else add to this list? I need to know, in case I want to change:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: !!!!

We're going to switch to the Poly. I'm trying to get in touch with my TA. If new AP rates come out and they are better than we can always switch again, right?

Umm..Hi....it's me, THE Resort Changer!!

I am back at CL at CSR..my dates magically opened up..then disappeared again ...so for now i am staying put.....I have the new MYW package still, just eliminated dining....
I am at the point where I am done crunching numbers..lol!
Just want to enjoy a new room , a new CL..(keeping fingers crossed) but got a extra night and in the section I wanted!

Thanks to all who listened to my plight and attempting to help!!
So who's next.....?! Who needs help?!

It's now official. We are Polynesian bound in May :dance3: Mow, off to change that siggie!

I know you really wanted to stay at the Poly:dance3:!!!

My dilemma:
arrive in Orlando May 29th and spend the weekend at the Dolphin.2 nights
move to the BC 5 night.
go to RPR 3 nights
10 nights
Should I add 7 more days to the trip? 7 nights
17 nights??
Maybe I should cancel the 3 nights at the RPR or move them to the end of the vacation.

Another question:
This new WDW offer is a pkg, right? If my daughter makes the cheerleading squad, we might not find out w/in the 45 days, so I'd have to pay the $100 cancellation fee, right?

Still, it's very tempting to schedule the nice long vacation and just take it easy. If it works, goo,if it doesn't oh well.

Wow! 17 nights is a long time  (This is the closest I could come to green with envy.) What about adding 2 days onto your BC stay and then heading to RPR and making it a 12 day trip? It is a package, but I can't remember how much change and cancellation fees are.

I am pretty sure the reason for changing resorts so often is to either save money or find a better deal...but is that the only reason people change resorts so much before they settle in on one? I hate switching rooms, I like to decide on something and stick with it...no matter what. Once I decide that is IT:thumbsup2 But you did make me curious as to the benefits of the continuous changing of resorts...inquiring minds want to know:laughing:
