WOW! Congrats! That's a great deal and I heard that the suite is really nice!

It is nice. We stayed in this type of suite 2 years ago and absolutely loved it!
We won't get the DDP but I figured even after paying for our meals, I'll still save over $1000!

OMG! I've never heard about this suite! Will they give you the teachers discount on the suite? $2000 is a LOT of money to save. I think I'd switch and pay OOP for meals if it meant saving $2000. Details, tell me the details. (yet another reason to switch. )

Yes, I asked about the teacher's discount but the AAA saved about 10 more dollars. The suite is $422/night. The hotel is sooo nice. It is a reason to switch!!!Like we need one

The bedroom comes with either 2 beds or a king and, of course, a full bath. We chose 2 beds because my friend is coming with us.

The parlor is very large with a fold down king size Murphy bed, a queen size sofa bed, a wet bar and a full bath.

This picture shows the suite with the second king bd but we don't need that much room!

I was able to book the Executive suite at the Dolphin!!! Since August, I've tried to book this and finally today, success!!!!

As soon as I get my email confirmation, I'm canceling my WDW DDP at OKW.
With the $100 cancellation penalty, I'm still saving $2000.00!

We love the S/D!!

ok, I havent posted in a few days here.....

So my trip with DD11 is at the end of Feb...4 nights. I originally booked POP with a AAA discount, with the thoughts of waiting for an AP rate.
So then I decided on CBR, I love the tropical theme..someone just posted a great TR, rooms looked great and I love this theme.
Meanwhile....
Made some Adr's....wasnt going to do DDP..so chose some Breakfest buffets, Chef Mickeys..today got Tusker House and Akershus....
So then today I decided to book an AP package, CSR Business CL with DDP,,,


lol Help!

Cause now, with their CL, you get a contintental breakfast..so now I will change my ADR's...but then if a good AP rate comes out, I will change it to a room only reservation and cancel DDP!
I really dont like to do packages....but with an AP, this is the only way to add DDP...
I will sleep on it I guess.....
My good friend just returned with some awesome CSR pics too!!

You can add the DDP to an AP discounted package 72 hours before your trip. That doesn't lock you in as much. You'll love CSR, it's gorgeous!!!

I guess I am a resort snob! I even looked at the Swan...but we need DME...so I am sure I will tweak this res....we will see once the AP rates are released.
I do want to stay here....the deluxe rates in peak season are ridiculous..and DH would not be happy since we are DVC members..(however we are out of pts til April 1)...
Who knows, even if we ended up at AS Sports preferred I'd still be happy Who knows with this economy!

Peak Season?? Ouch!! We are not going the week after next (we were talking about it) because we can't find decent flights. One year we will get there to see the Christmas decorations. My biggest problem is that I don't want to pay the peak season prices. I keep thinking that if we were to go for Christmas I would want to stay at WL, it seems more like winter than any other resort. Of course now that the tree houses are being completed I would have to consider booking one next Christmas for our entire family. (decisions, decisions.....)

great thread btw!! fun to read and oh there might have been a few changes here & there from my end...dh is pretty patient however - we did 3 resorts last time & this time there will be NO switching luckily he is happy to drive me from resort to resort so I can check them out so it's all fine

WOW, thank you for giving me a name for my disease!! I thought I was nuts and alone out there.

But now I know there is a community of us out there...

For just this trip alone (and in ALL my vacations even HONEYMOON I changed resorts WHEREVER we were staying)

I had ASMo booked..ready to go in February...then I read about the busses..
Contimplated some, and then moved to POP....satisfied for a bit..
Then started to hear great things about the Mods...looked around a bit...found a code...and moved to CBR which in 31 days is our final destination...till next time...

Here's my update. March trip still locked in (thank God for renting DVC points!)

But my August trip has changed. I changed from GV Club Level to just GV and requested Fiji. Too much food for us with the DDP, and I don't like the looks of the Garden Views from Hawaii. Now I'm thinking of changing our dates and pushing the trip forward by 5 days. This will get us there before my oldest boys 17th birthday, and closer to Labor Day.

I am also thinking of adding on one day, maybe, and adding on CR before the Poly stay, and then cutting our Poly stay down by two nights. This would give us 3 nights at CR and 5 nights at Poly.

Or I could just completely lose my mind and book CR for Christmas next year. Unless I decide to book CR for a short June trip?

This is my thread!!!! I really thought I was alone in doing this but I'm glad to see there is a name and support group for my disease.

Originally book AKL back at the beginning of the year with a travel agent discount. Bought tickets through Undercover Tourist.

Then POR went on sale and it was a better deal. So, I sold my tickets and booked the package with dining.

After reading about the MODS I switched from POR to CBR. Thought that was going to be my last change!

Last week they came out with another travel agent rate that included dining but the only resort available was POR. So, we switched again.

Now I'm wanting to upgrade to a Deluxe but nothing is open. I keep checking twice a day to see if anything comes available but it's not looking so good. We're going 11/29 - 12/7 and that last weekend is booked solid.

I keep telling my husband that i'm sure Disney rolls their eyes every time they hear it's me on the other line.


At least they don't hear from me as much as the dining people do! I'm calling them at least every other day

Oh, 2 great choices!! But Mk or Epcot?? Hmmmm....what is your other boy< not sure how old ampersand is... j/k

They are so different! I do know BWI just got new refurbed rooms.. But no quick service which can be a pain with kids!
Poly has great big rooms, especially in Tokelau..and some garden view rooms there do have a little look see of the lagoon!!
Keep us posted!!! I would love deluxe, but we are going peak times, and as DVC owners, (currently w/o pts til 4/1) Dh would not be too happy if DD11 and I turned our budget trip into something else! lol I have been able to do that.....once!
