Resort Changers--The Saga Continues.....

NJPrincess you are not alone! For one thing....I live in NJ (We are moving to Virginia in two weeks ) As the others have stated, there is a very large group here who totally understand the back-and-forth resort change thing. It's what we live for...... Welcome.

Nothing wrong in changing we all say!
So , for Dec I booked POP for a budget, shouldnt be going , but talked DH into it trip....
Have an awesome code...so wanted to really use it, so changed to CSR,,(DearDaisy)
However, one of my Dis friends is staying at FQ the same time, my friend will be at THV...and FQ will be easier to get around with a pre schooler....so CSR will have to wait again.....so I changed again.
I will miss the tropical theme and queen beds But I do love the look of FQ too..(minus the big creepy things in the food court) lol

So any other changes????

BC...make sure to look for chairs by SAB early...we had the toughest time in May finding seats...but always found something.... However, Labor Day weekend n 07 we didnt have any trouble (YC stay)
stepdisney is there any availability for your dates at BC? Do you have a package?

I can't find a BC deal. They have 28% on line for BC for our time but it just doesn't cut it and its not good enough to leave the free dining......I'm not sure what to do now. I don't feel really happy like I did when I got SSR. This usually means I really want to stay somewhere else....It could be the stress from the move but I'm not feeling SSR right now. I need a resort that is heavily themed to put me in the Disney state of mind.

dont you have a one bedroom? SSR is beautiful....I enjoy walking around the resort...the main pool and grandstand pool(with bar) are awesome!!!

Its not BC...but I think there are alot of things at SSR you will enjoy!

If you do have a 1 bdr..(i think you do, cant recall..lol) it will be awesome with the kitchen, separate room with the kiddos, and washer and dryer..huge tub......even the studio with the kitchenette is great!!

I think I changed my mind from WL to CR to POR to Poly to all the Values and finally to CBR! Hope you enjoy SSR; my friend stayed there last year and said it was beautiful and would definetly go back.

Glad to see you are all doing well. I will be going down shortly and am having second thoughts about my hotel. This will be the first time in a value resort since before we had DS7 & DS4. It seems to be filled up which means large crowds. Help!!! DH will kill me if I switch now.

Also, I am having great difficulty trying to change any ADR's. I have not been able to change anything since 90 days out. Wish they would go back to 180 days, more time to change your mind and still have a choice.

nonsmom, we loved pop back in 2005 (though we had 2 connecting rooms). Our boys 14 & 8 would be too big for one room now I am sure of it. Overall though, we loved the feel of the place and the theme is very whimsical and larger than life. We loved it. You know that you can change and, if it's not less than your original reservation, you won't have to pay the additional change fee. (I'm seriously thinking of BC or AKLV instead of SSR). Stay tuned......

For the last 3 trips, I booked a resort, paid for the trip and went. For this particular trip, we are celebrating my Mom's 74th Birthday. So, originally we booked POFQ. I know she likes that location as we stayed there before. Then after checking out the other locations, we decided to move the All Star Music family suite. That way there's more room, 2 bathrooms, etc. Well, after a lot more research and thinking about Mom having to go back to the resort in the afternoons to rest, I then booked us at WL. And I swear that's the last move! lol!

My Mom doesn't know we upgraded to WL and she won't know until she steps off the ME bus!! Yippee! So excited about the surprise.

And so excited there are others who are disney addicted, resort movers, and obsessed with planning all the details of their trips! YAY!



Let's not even get me started on all of the changes with dining reservations!! lol!

WL is my favorite hands down out of everywhere I have stayed at WDW. Wish we were going now. It has been a crazy year and we already went on a vacation this summer by plane, so we have to stick with POP. I will probably go back to WL next year if all things work out. I have to tell you that once you stay at WL, you will probably never want to stay at POFQ again.

O.K., that sounds like denial, I know, but really---- It started out innocent enough, just a pic or two here & there, then checking prices, restuarants, distance from parks, ammenities, etc. and before we knew it...WHAM!!! Disney mail with our new balance due....

After our "last" change (o.k., make that "last" TWO changes), we actually have an $800.00 credit, on our credit card! LOL!

I don't even know how many times we've changed, but now we're within our 45 days so the only way to go now is up.

Everytime we think we have the 'perfect' resort, some other detail factors into the mix & we just can't to seem to leave well-enuf-alone. It seems to get easier with each change & therein lies the problem. It's not even just the money, it's the whole FIX of investigating every nook & cranny about the "newest" resort we're fixated on.

I'm trying the "just wait and the urge to change resorts will pass" one-step-program. So far, so good...but give me a few days, few hours, few minutes to ponder all the variables, and I'm off!

Well, I do feel a little better having shared & I'll probablly keep comin' back!

And, I don't EVEN want to go into the whole ADR/ressie thing...

Well... where did you decide to stay? If you need help enabling, I mean encouraging you to change you've come to the right place!!
OK 14 days to go!!!! You all will be so proud of me, I did try to change, but Disney actually told me no! Ha Ha, I even got bashed for it on another thread! I just wanted to see if we could change , since we got the upgrade from Pop to OKW, but my sis really wants to stay CBR. Apparently the code isn't valid anywhere else, and I wasn't asking for a free upgrade, as I would have paid the difference, so OKW here we come. We are also gonna do 1 night at AKL. Can't wait - just hope the weather cooperates! Anyone else going over Labor day weekend????
