Resort Changers--The Saga Continues.....

I feel the need to call and play with packages. The deals are so good now.

Or you can play with packages on the website, and then make long complicated spreadsheets with the numbers and dates! :thumbsup2

Please please pretty please post Poly pictures as soon as you can when you get back!!
(;) or while you're there :rotfl: )

Man, I got to figure out how to do mulitply quotes in a reply - is there a sticky for this???? Anyhow, YES I will post pictures when I get back - in fact better pack the camera right now:cool1: ! Hey Kaffinato, I thought I was the only one that did spreadsheets and complicated notes. I also do a running word file with various scenarious, comments and "stuff". Was cleaning out my file and was thinking to myself, now why did I spend time doing all of this :rotfl: ? Because I am Disney-Obscessed, and I can't even spell it :rotfl2: ! Woo hoo 2 days to go, starting to get nervous - way more to do than I have time, but what am I doing - checking out the Dis boards! I need to get a life!!!!! :confused3

Multi-quote is easy! See the little box with the " in it, right next to the box you click on to quote? For each post you want to multi-quote, just click on that box (it will turn orange - at least on my computer!), until you get to the last post you want to quote, then click "quote"; they should all show up on your screen! Insert your text in between each! ;)

Now that's a great idea to play on the website. Thanks!

TWO DAYS FOR YOU! :cheer2:

I'm excited for you! No you are not the only one who does that - I think most of here do! I ended up with 12 pages of notes for our trip last August and never even looked at them once while there! :lmao:

Have a wonderful, safe and happy trip if I don't see you back here again before you leave! :goodvibes

Well, I have read most all of this thread and I laughed out loud and clapped my hands with joy because I have found my family (separated since birth I guess;) )

Last year DH and I were going to WDW alone for our 25th anniversary and over the course of 1 month we were booked: GF garden view, GF Sugar Loaf, GF RPC, BWI Garden suite, YC CL, BCV 1BR, YC Lagoon view, BWV 1 BR then ended up having to cancel the whole shebang! DH never knew about anything but the original GF reservation:sad2:

This year we are are taking 2 kids and my parents and I got a 40% off code :goodvibes. I really want a 2 br at BCV or BWV but not happening yet so we're currently booked at BC (2 rooms). I have called CRO 5 times in the past 2 weeks to see if any other DVC rooms have opened up (SSR OR OKW are all that's available except for BWV Grand Villa). I am seriously flirting with CL if we can't secure a villa. DH and the rest of the fam don't care (so unbelievable isn't it?)" as long as we stay Deluxe." They don't even know about the time I spend looking at and considering CS (I like the refurb rooms) and POR (love the food court there, Piano Bob and the boat ride to DTD):guilty:

It's not enough for me to obsess and talk about which resort is best all the time...I WANT EVERYONE AROUND ME TO JOIN IN TOO:p This is a sickness on my part, obviously.:scared: My husband told me last night, "I don't care where we stay, I don't care how much it cost, just don't make me talk about it anymore." :faint: As if I can help myself:confused3

Ok...this is the longest post I've ever done...I am a bigtime longtime lurker with occasional posts but this thread brought out the chattiness in me because I identify::yes::

I'm a closet resort changer. For our upcoming March trip, we started at AKL. I then decided to change to GF, MKV since we had never stayed there and I wanted to be on the monorail. After looking at pictures from the MKV rooms at CR, I wanted to check for MKV club rooms there, but was able to talk myself out of that because I read that their pool is closed for renovations. I'm 95% sure I'm going to stick with our reservation as it stands currently.

Historically I will resort shop 20 different options before booking. I try to get my resort changivitis out of my system before I actually book, although it doesn't always work out that way.
Meant to say Welcome to the "family" yesterday! I hope you come and chat with us often. Of course, I'll be out of the "office" for a few days, starting Thursday :rotfl: !

Wow, I figured out how to do this - you are a genius!

Welcome Aboard. Sounds like you did some serious planning last year, I hope you have a great trip this time around. And, I can relate about your DH, heck even my kids don't want to talk Disney anymore, but I still mangage to bring it up :lmao: ! Hope to hear more about your plans this go around!

Wow, I feel empowered, I can now multi-quote :mic: !!!!

Oops, I left you out of my first multi-quote, well I guess I need to practice. Wanted to say that I threw away at least 20 pages of "typed" notes, not to mention way more hand written notes :lmao: , yeah - I do need a life. And what do you mean if I'm not back before I leave, I'll probably be checking in till the minute we board the plane. Don't have a lap top, so once I check out of my office (meaning the dis boards) I won't be back until 1/28. But, who's excited :hyper:???? Thanks everbody for all the support!

Have a wonderful time, Singinglizzie! :goodvibes Bring back lots of stories about your *magical* trip, and lots & lots of pictures (please don't forget pics for the Concierge/Club Level Info thread! TIA! :flower3:)

And GREAT job on the multi-quote! :thumbsup2

Glad you are here! And I know what you mean! Sometimes I just book another one when we get back so I can mess with it a for a few months longer. :thumbsup2 My March trip is set in stone - renting a ressie from a DVC member so I can't change it. :scared: I had my trip set up for this August too - we were going to Poly for the whole 8 days. Then I had to go and buy DVC, and now we have a 9 day trip with three different resorts!

Glad to meet you! I have the same problem with my family. No one wants to have any kind of Disney related conversation with me. :sad1: My youngest will join in from time to time, and will look at resort photos, but not very often. They all say they'll go, but they don't want to hear about it any more! What's up with that! How can anyone NOT want to talk about Disney all day long! :confused3

I hope both of you have a lot of fun with us on this thread :goodvibes

Thanks for all the nice welcomes.:) Today I got the 2009 DVD Planning video in the mail, plus the 2009 UG and 2009 Birnbaum Official Guide. I was excited (although I think I buy a copy of each every year pretty much) and my DH said, "Why do you keep buying the same books?" Doesn't he know there might be some new tidbit of info I haven't see yet regarding one of the resorts? How am I supposed to make an informed decision if I don't know every detail about every resort possibility? I mean, I might need to do laundry at CBR:laundy: or rent a Sea Raycer at the Wilderness Lodge :boat: or have a Lapu Lapu at the Poly:drinking1. I need the latest info to make the most informed decision (even if I change that decision tomorrow or next week or next month or all of the above):rotfl:

I am seriously glad I found this thread. I am thinking it might save my marriage

Thanks and WOOHOO, 1 day to go!!!!

Well, I ahd originally made a ressie at Cont with the 4/3 deal, then changed to POR to save some money, then to 2 rooms at ASSP. Finally I have rented points for a 5day stay at BWV, with one weekend night at ASSp and a weekend at POR- kind of crazy! I promised my husband that I will be in charge of all the packing/unpacking. I am excited to see 2 new resorts that we have never seen. I will not be changing again this trip. I am really looking froward to this trip.

No one in my family wants to share my Disney excitement either. I sometimes use bribery - I'll offer to take one of the kids out to dinner if they'll let me talk about Disney.

Although my husband doesn't want to talk about where we are staying, he did tell me that he didn't want to stay at WL. I think the family is leaning toward AKL. I'm down to 2 of the mods and several of the deluxes.

I also have pages of notes. I have the price for our trip and then I have the cost if I get a 40% off code so I'll be prepared if I get a pin...:cheer2:
