Resort Changers--The Saga Continues.....

Okay, I am thinking of upgrading to AP when we arrive. I say this every year and I don't do it thinking that we will not go back and each year we have gone back. With my luck, this will be the year we decide to take the following year off. DH is already talking about going to Europe next year (of course we will visit DL Paris!) Does anyone know if the AP is good only at WDW.

Kaffinito the debate is still going on here. My DH and DS's don't want to year about Poly at all. They want Epcot resort OR CR only. I keep thinking that this would be the year to finally get my Beach Club vibe on! It is really the only resort that gives me butterflies. Crazy but that is sometimes how I choose resorts. I keep thinking that a Washer/Dryer may be necessary so maybe BWV or BCV this time??? I am honestly so confused this year....:sad1:

IDK anything about APs. Sorry. I want everyone to go to Poly so I can get lots of feedback about it:laughing: I'm trying to pick resorts for our next trip. For now I am on a WL/CR kick. I am assuming by butterflies you mean the nervous kind, not the WOW I have a crush kind...How does the family feel about BW? I really think it looks lovely. My sons didn't like SAB, but my DS wants to stay by the clown pool one day, so I am sure BW is in our future (while the kids are so young I'd rather stay by MK). I feel for you. BC gets a lot of ASSp and SSpr better (we were BCV, not BC sorry). I think you should go with your gut. But as a fellow RC sister, that IS what we do, isn't it?:goodvibes

I mean "WOW I have been crushing on BC for a loooong time now and have not stayed yet." The other resorts I like but not the way I like BC.......(I have been teaching 9th grade waaayyy tooo long, I'm starting to sound like them..:goodvibes What didn't your DH like about SAB? Just wondering because my DS's are pool snobs. They like a cool slide and plenty of room. They swim quite a bit and are not so much into sitting and splashing about. My DS's are 10 and 16. What do you mean BC gets a lot of ASSp and SSpr? Do tell!! :) I am thinking BWV could be fun....though the supper scarey clown pool does nothing for me the boys would love it. It wouldn't be a Disney trip if I didn't waffle about resorts.....pass the syrup.....

The AP rates are only for WDW.

Thank you! That's one thing I won't have to worry about. I am just so afraid of not going back and actually using the pass. I hate wasting money...but I have because I could have used a pass ever other year since we have gone for the past 5 or 6 years.

I looked at the WDW website and I found that a Tower TPV and a Garden Wing Garden View were available without a PIN, so I tried to see if there was a CL MKV room or a non CL room and there's nothing. I think I will keep the CL room since I'm paying a little less than the rack rate price of the GW GV. :goodvibes

LOL. My son was helping me type. So I just read my post and it makes no sense. Let me think what I tried to say there....I think BC has a lot of great reviews, and the ASsp and SSR part of my sentence was deleted (thanks to DS2:lmao:) was that DH loved both those resorts. I think DH felt BC was too "formal" for him. And SAB was very crowded DH and DS (I think he was 13 maybe) didn't even want to stay there. I hung out in the sand with DS who was maybe 3 or 4 at the time. I'm not much of a swimmer anyway. We liked the boat to Epcot and HS-which was MGM at the time. But we spent more time at MK, and we drove to avoid the buses with the stroller. If your crushing on BC-stick with it! We'll save the syrup for your next trip:rotfl:

Okay, sorry for such a short answer before. I had the baby in my arms lol. I didn't want to seem rude! The AP rates are good only for the park the AP is at. If they were to release AP rates for DL you would need a DL AP to book them (well anyone can book them but you'd need it to check in and sometimes you don't even need it then but that's a whole other issue ;))

Umm, excuse me miss. I already told you to suck it up because you're staying CL and that's all there is to it!

I'm so excited for her!!! I have exactly 5 months from today. I'm hanging in there. I went to the doctor last night and he made me come to terms with the fact that I have PPD even though I've been trying to ignore it. He's keeping me out of work for another 4 weeks and put me on an antidepressant. I'm not handling it too well. I don't want my job to know.:sad2:

What about you? Any sleep?

 Your job doesn't need to know, not their business. The medication really may help stabilize your hormones and get YOU back. Props to you for being honest with yourself AND your doctor. I hid PPD, and it could've been a disaster if DH wasn't so awesome and understanding. PM me if you need anything....And this board is nice and distracting-Happy place, happy thoughts. I have had 2 nights of good sleep. DH said DS 2 smacked me in the face at 3am (baddream or maybe I was snoring:lmao:) and I yelled but never woke up. Guess I was tired:confused3 Plus 4 more weeks to just get the Princess sleeping better so you can be a little more rested too:thumbsup2

It wasn't so much me being honest with him as it was me breaking down in tears when he asked how I'm feeling. I'm relieved that I don't have to leave her just yet. The extra 4 weeks will give me some time to build up my milk stash in the freezer too.

Yay for getting some good sleep! Sounds like you had a nice deep sleep.

I can't even find pics of my suite. I am assuming they are similar to the other suites.

This link has great photos and descriptions of WDW Resort/GF suites and regular rooms:

pas130 Yay for you! I wish I could get off my butt and do something because I'm REALLY depressed about this postpartum pudge. Right now we're in the midst of the 6 week growth spurt and I can't get off the couch to do anything. Using the little girls room is a privilege!

WDWKOOK Oh no! I say if the AP rate has availability at WL/CL then DO IT!

Hannah, I went to Target the other day and thought of you!

Too funny about Target. I was there yesterday and as I walked into the dressing room with DD, I wondered what part of the store our Hannah works in:rotfl:

The AP rate was a bust and so was the summer rate. I checked online the minute the new AP rate dates were up this morning and there was no CL. This is what happened with the military discount, too - no CL. It's a conspiracy. So no more changes - YC/CL it is.

Do you own a Baby Bjorn front carrier? I used it almost everyday in Korea after DD was born (even DH loved using it). She and I both loved it because I could walk all over the place with her and have my hands free and she felt snug and cozy.

So I finally told my gramma about staying club level and she liked the idea! I had to say it when my mom wasn't around so she wouldn't hear. :rotfl: So basically my gramma said that she will pay for my park ticket and expenses that we are doing together like eating food and stuff like that so it's not like, "You owe me two dollars for an ice cream." and things like that and she is paying for the rest of the resort while I pay for the deposit. So I think we are all good! :)[/color]

So it's settled - CL it is?

I looked at the WDW website and I found that a Tower TPV and a Garden Wing Garden View were available without a PIN, so I tried to see if there was a CL MKV room or a non CL room and there's nothing. You should keep it and start looking forward to your beautiful view and CL!

:grouphug:I'm glad you went to the Dr. There is no shame in that and now that you've admitted to feeling gloomy, you can work on feeling like yourself again. Your job won't know a thing and you'll be a much better feeling employee in 4 weeks than you would have been next week. This is good for everyone!

So for this new AP rate they aren't offering the Club Level rooms or just for your dates? Well right now for me it doesn't matter because I couldn't look up any AP rates since my pass is expired and I won't renew it until I arrive at the BWI. That also means we are sticking to our BC/CL stay and when I asked my parents if the Atrium Club floor was available with the 35% room only discount would they have picked that instead they told me no, only because it gives us a reason to try the Beach Club.

It's a sign... for today anyway. Tomorrow who knows what will be available. :goodvibes

Bravo to you and hang in there. We are all here for you to keep things light. I am on the other side of things now....having my own personal summers regularly....May I borrow some of your estrogen....:lmao::goodvibes

Well, I only checked for July 29 - August 5 for the WL/CL and while there is rack rate WL/CL availability, neither the AP rate nor the military rate is available. The summer rate is available for WL/CL, however, it's "only" 25% off so it would end-up costing more than our 40% off YC/CL room, so that's not a good deal at all.

If you'd like me to check the new summer AP rates for you, just let me know. But, I'm pretty sure you're arriving after the 8/13 expiration.

Thanks everyone. :rotfl: I know I keep wanting to not do CL, but with the trip being so close, I'm trying to suck it up and enjoy CL. :rotfl: Besides, I think my gramma would be desappointed if I changed it since she seemed to like the idea of CL. I'm such a pain. :lmao:

Thanks everyone :grouphug: I'm feeling a little better knowing Lily will be 2 1/2 months when I go back so she won't be as tiny and new. I hate how crappy our country's maternity leave is. 6 weeks is not enough time with a new baby!

WDWKOOK That's so funny. Great minds! I hope something opens up for you at WL.

We don't start driving to Orlando until 8/14 and arrive at the Boardwalk Inn on 8/17. Now if the AP rate is 25% off for Club Level like at the Wilderness Lodge then it's as good compared to the 35% discount we got for Club Level at the Boardwalk Inn and Beach Club.

Umm, does this mean I'm supposed to be calling everyday like Hannah?:sad2: I don't know how Hannah did it, but the thought of calling them everyday is daunting. Since the AP rate both sucked and wasn't available for WL/CL, I sort of gave-up on the idea (as of yesterday:laughing:).

How are you and Lily feeling today? Are you going to go out for a walk today?

We actually start driving exactly three months from today. We'll spend a night in GA and then on to Boca Raton to visit my FIL for a couple of nights. It's then only a 3.5 hour drive to WDW from there. We always leave early so that we can get there before noon, check-in and have lunch at CHH at the MK. I just love sitting on the second floor overlooking FL.

We usually go more toward the middle of August, but we wanted to get one more use out of our APs before they expire. With the 22 nights DD & I did last year and the upcoming 12 nights, we will have gotten 34 park days out of those APs! That breaks down to about $14 a day:thumbsup2

I bet you're working, pas130 so I hope everything goes well and you can get some rest soon.

Kaffinito: Christine (Minnie&Nana) told me on the WL thread that she was the one who actually came up with the idea for this thread and named it, too! This was news to me and I invited her to come over here and offer us moral support. I hope we haven't scared her away (or anyone else for that matter:flower3:).

Hannah: Your birthday is coming right up! Your ticker says "solo trip":confused3. When did it change from a solo trip to a Gramma trip?

Jetblue has an airfare sale from NYC today. It's only $164! I guess this means I'm supposed to book it. I'm just afraid that if I do something is going to go wrong or fall through.

I don't have the motivation to call everyday either. I usually just check online or if I'm bored at work I'll call and check but some of those CMs can be harsh!

The weather is actually mild here today so we may go for a walk or to the mall to see the bunny. I have anxiety about walking in my neighborhood since I got hit by the car 2 years ago so when I go walking I'll only stay on my side of the main road because I'm absolutely terrified to cross it again.
