Resort Changers--The Saga Continues.....

Kaffinito I am on my way to your trip report. Oh how I love a good trip report....I have just been busy with the 9th graders. I will catch up during the spring break. Can't wait....

WHY am I thinking about YC now....:sad2: I keep thinking that the renovations will totally blow my dream resort experience. Also, can anyone walk me through renting points so I can add BCV to my list of resorts to stress about choosing.

Oh, and I LOVE the princess tub!!! I have to think of someone who I can bless with a princess tub.....

I just realized something...

I don't know what I'm going to do after the upcoming May trip is over. I have TWO trips this year AFTER that, but.... I rented point for both June and November trips, so I'm not even capable of "resort changing" for those! I mean let's face it, I changed the resort plans for the May trip FIVE times! :rotfl: I guess that's why I got the deluxe dining plan for June and November... at least I can change ADRs every single day of my life. :surfweb:

sure you are;), it's with-in the 7 month window time for both resorts (wherein any owner can book anywhere that is open). Easy enough to call whoever you rented the points from & ask them to see if another DVC is open.

re the YC vs BC debate, even though YC is more formal, i've always considered them an extension of the other since they share many of the same amenties/common areas, especially SAB.

WDWKOOK,
I know how it feels to call the Disney Reservation Center and get a Cast Member who doesn't know all their information. For example before we reserved the Deluxe Room at the Boardwalk Inn with the 35% room only offer, we had originally reserved their Standard Club Level Room without a discount this past December while we were at WDW. At the time they hadn't announced the August 14th - October 1st room only public discounts, however I told my Dad get the AAA rate and we can always change until something better comes along. Well the Cast Member said the AAA rates for 2011 were not released yet and we believed her, so we reserved the room at the rack rate. Well once we got home I looked on Mousesavers and saw that the AAA rates for 2011 were released back in August, so it was frustrating how that Cast Member didn't know that. Although if we had internet access while at WDW I would have looked that up before even calling. However that same day I then read those threads on here saying others reserved rooms with the 35% discount two days before the promotion had started, so I then told my Dad call WDW and we were also lucky to get it early.

Besides that a few years ago when we had trouble viewing a reservation online and the Cast Member from the Disney Reservation Center said that's because we couldn't do that anymore, well that obviously never happened.

Finally sometimes when calling for reservations the confirmations can take from 1 hour - 24 hours later until we get them via e-mail. However when we make them online the confirmations are sent right away, so that's something I could never figure out and why we like making them online whenever we can.

True. But I'm much to nice of a person to drag some innocent bystander into my neurosis. :rotfl2:

it's just one of the risks the 'renters' take;). i've only rented points a few times & all has gone smoothy, but let's just say one nice lady should join this thread!

as a disclaimer, you do always take a small risk of losing the new res you want in the time frame it takes to cancel res #1 & book #2

I rented through David's and loved his process (for the June trip- AKL) so much that I went ahead and booked my solo November birthday trip with him as well. Honestly, it's been my dream to stay at BLT, and I didn't want to risk waiting for some kind of discount through WDWTC. Every time a new AP rate comes out I check a res. for BLT and there's never anything available. At least this way, I am safe in knowing I have a secured reservation.

Well I'm here at AsSpo. So far I like it here. Theres lots of greenery and lots of tall mature palm trees. The pool is just as cool as I thought it would be. The king bed room is really nice and clean too.

Ok off to MK for EMH. :)

YAY! Glad you made it safely Kaffinito! :) Have lots of fun and take lots of pictures! ASSports was the resort I stayed at 11 years ago and I loved it! I'm glad you are enjoying it too! :)

So I think I want to surprise my gramma with this little cake when we eat dinner at the California Grill: http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=35240776&postcount=168 I would have it say "Happy Mother's Day Gramma".

What do you guys think? Also, does anyone know where I can purchase the photopass online? I remember there was a link to buy it for $99. I want to do that sometime soon.

Thank you so much!!! You are a life saver! :worship: Will I be able to get a refund if we don't use the photopass? I just want to make sure of this just in case we don't run into a lot of photopass photographers.

yes, I got a refund last year because I did not utilize it like I should have, plus my hair was a mess on all the pictures:rotfl: Coming from California, my hair was not ready for that type of humidity:rotfl2:

I might have to just go alone next time or leave DD at the swap spot while DH and I go:laughing:.

My DD12 STILL won't go back on THM ride mostly because of that hand that comes up out of the box. It must have freaked her out when she was 5 or 6 and she refuses to go back. She won't even look at a YouTube video of the ride. But RR, EE, MS - no problem.

How was your flight and where did you eat last night? (CHH is my favorite MK QS - have to go up to the second floor overlooking FL.) Was EMH crazy with crowds?

smart move, he's def reliable & no worries there as to something going awry with the res:thumbsup2 You'll luv BLT! What category did you book? We've lucked out with standard having a MK view:cloud9:. Hope we get the same one in July.
