Okay, I spent the morning catching up, viewing photos, reading about night feedings, packing, and, most of all, resort change chatter. One of the reasons we started this thread was because we needed a place for resort chatter. I love this place. Sooooooo......I am officially on Spring Break and AWAY from the 9th graders for a week and a day....

(Breakdancing)....get it...."BREAK dancing.....spring.....break.....

never mind. Anywhoo I have a few dilemmas that I need to chat about... jump in at anytime....CR for life i NEED your input....
1. I live and teach in 2 different districts.
2. I am not tenured yet because we just moved here
3. My children start school after Labor day making a late August trip possible
4. I teach in a district that starts school mid August, making late trip impossible
5. They asked me on Friday to renew my contract....
6. I have applied in the district where I live and where my children go to school
7. I have 2 different reservations at 2 different resorts for 2 different times...
I am beside myself to the point where I have not made dining reservations and it is driving me crazy.....I want to at least know when I am going.
I am booked a CR and BC. I have never stayed at either resort. I love the size of CR but I love the location of the BC. I've never stayed at a monorail resort and CR is a better price and closer to the restaurants we love (Ohana, and all of the CR eateries). I got a great price because I was able to book standard at CR, evidently there is a part of CR that is away from the main lobby. Can someone help we understand these rooms. Are they okay? Will I hate them? Should we just go for BC on either week. I want to resolve my issues during spring break but it will be difficult. Okay....let the resort, vacation advice begin.....
I'm glad you're breakdancing

We're on Spring Break, too. Does this mean your kids are not on Spring Break at the same time you are?
I've stayed many times at the CR, it's our favorite resort. I'd be happy to answer any questions.
The Garden Wing rooms are the rooms not in the Tower. There are two bookable views: STD (parking lot) and GARDEN (canal, pool or Bay Lake). The rooms are exactly the same inside in the GW as in the Tower (regular) rooms. I highly recommend trying the CR, it's a WDW icon.
At the CR, everything is under one roof, you can walk to the MK, the monorail runs through it, the Bay Lake views are beautiful, you can boat to FTW and WL. There's a great quick serve and three restaurants and the standard rooms are some of the largest on property. I love the soft, Asian styling of the rooms, too.
If you did book GARDEN WING STANDARD VIEW, I would look into seeing how much more a GARDEN VIEW room would be and request a room facing Bay Lake. They are spectacular. Keep in mind that the GW rooms do not have balconies. If you want to be able to walk out, you'll need to request a ground floor room so that you'll have a patio, if it's available.
As far as the BC is concerned, I, umm, just changed our BC Deluxe/CL room to a YC/CL room

. There is ongoing exterior renovations at the BC through 2011 and with multiple reports of the public areas and CL lounge being so crowded and chaotic over at the BC, I just wouldn't be happy with that kind of frenetic atmosphere. We would have prefered WL/CL or to even extend our CR stay, but neither were available, so the YC it is!
If it weren't for co-sleeping and side nursing I wouldn't get any sleep, but thankfully I know better than to listen to the doctors.

lol
I saw your question. I wish I could answer it for you!
Well, a couple of nice people did answer my question, but I ended-up booking the YC instead

. I feel much better now (the glass of wine helps, too) and you guys and DH will no longer have to hear my BC misgivings

.
When do we get to see another photo of your precious Disney doll? A cute little Easter dress and bonnet sure would be nice (hint, hint).
Kaffinito: I hope you have a great trip Sunday and everything goes as planned. We expect photos with your TR!
pas130: I hope your weekend is going well. I know you have to work today, so just be careful driving home and keep up the exercise - we're all so proud of you
Hannah: I hope you're not working the whole weekend, but if you are, those customers sure are lucky and, it's better than being on the Dan Ryan!
Hope everyone else is having a great weekend of WDW planning and changing
. Keep us posted
