Resort Changers--The Saga Continues.....

Okay, so now I have a great description of CR garden wing and I am excited about that....but....now the vote switched to Poly and.....Kaffinito says stay at BC so.....er....ummm thanks guys....Were back to square 1....:rotfl2:

Maybe I'll make a list of all the Disney resorts in alphabetical order and start from the top and stay my way down since I'm always so undecided. :yo-yo:

Well, I don't have anything for Easter just yet, but will this do?

That's her Disney Princess tub :lovestruc

She is so cute, Dani:littleangel:. And a Princess tub?! Are you sure you don't need to switch to the Cinderella Suite for her? Are you going to take her to the BBB when she's a little older? I'd love to see those photos:)

YES! I used to love doing the pro-con lists for all the resorts. Even though I've stayed in most of the mods. and deluxes now, I still like jotting down notes and even ranking them. Do your list and if you need any, umm, advice, we can help rank them for you;).

Thanks! When my mom saw the Princess tub she said she just had to buy it because she knows Lily is going to be a Princess girl. princess: My mom knows me well! She is most definitely going to do BBB as soon as she's old enough. I was thinking a 3rd birthday trip would be perfect for it ;) lol

First off, I am :sad1: That some of you guys aren't visiting my PTR. :sad2: :sad2: :sad2:

kaffinito How is the packing going? All done yet? Any room for me in one of your suitcases? ;)

I wish! Those bags are crammed so full that I barely have room for my toothbrush. :lmao:

Now that's adorable! :goodvibes

and me.....!!!

You could definitely come too - if I had room.... :)

Well you really want to stay at BC, and I think you should. :goodvibes But with all of your schedule changes, and it sounding like you can't go at the end of August, I'd see about switching dates and keeping BC since you want it so badly. :)

The November Thanksgiving trip would work for that - you won't have to miss school since you don't know where you'll be teaching, and if the teaching job you applied for comes through, that would be the easiest date to move forward to the end of August spot. :) But I would keep both ressies and dates just to make sure.... :rolleyes1

That might work! Actually it sounds like a fun way to do it! :thumbsup2

I make a "pros" and "cons" list for each trip, and then eliminate the resorts that don't meet my requirements. :) Of course, for this trip I wasn't able to eliminate a lot of them... :upsidedow

I have a confession to make (and let's hope my travel agent doesn't read this thread) :rolleyes1

My first 6 nights are at the BC CL (got a fab deal through Disney UK so really can't change it, and TBH I really don't want to), BUT my last 2 nights, OMG my last 2 nights :rotfl:

I would like to do MVMCP on my last night so a MK resort is a must, I currently have the Poly CL booked but I just don't think value wise it's worth it for my last 2 nights when I already have events/extras planned so won't be at the resort much to take advantage of CL, so yesterday I booked ....... the GF in a garden view room. My dream would be to return to the GF RPC but unless a discount comes out I'm not going to pay it, crazy price for 2 nights, particularly when I can stay at the Waldorf or Ritz (but of course they're not Disney and I looooove Disney) for less than a third of that price! So, at the moment I'm 'happy' with my choice for the last 2 nights.

I've just made a start reading it, love your sense of humour - I think I would have totally freaked if I'd been on that plane! :scared1:

Trust me, I was. :sad2:

The funny thing is that all of those things had happened to me before on planes, but on that flight they all happened at once.

The best part was after we landed - a really smooth landing BTW. They rolled the portable stairs on to the tarmac to unload us, with the fire trucks all around etc... and when I walked down those stairs I started kissing the pavement. :rotfl:

Remind me never ever to be on the same flight as you ;)

I'm sad too. I posted some pretty funny photos to that thread.

And, no eagle-eyed resort changer has even noticed my ticker tweaking:rolleyes1

Yacht Club! You kept that quiet ;)

That sounds sensible! :) You'll be right there for MVMCP, and at the GF so you won't have to feel badly about missing out on CL. :goodvibes

I noticed it! :goodvibes

I think you'll like YC better, at least until the next urge to ch-ch-change comes along :teeth:

Thanks! Did I miss a link?! I don't see one in your signature. Hook a sister up!!!

It was a subtle, but necessary change.

I know we'll like it better, too. I had very concrete and sensible reasons for switching to the YC:snooty:. Overall, it's a much less chaotic and more peaceful atmosphere, especially in the lounge. And, there shouldn't be any exterior renovations going on like at the BC. I really feared ending-up with a crane and painters in front of my balcony after someone posted photos of their painter/crane view:sad2: and DH is very happy with the just confirmed beer selection and multitude of jogging routes for us.

BTW, when I called to switch, I actually got a rather inept CM which really surprised me. Usually they are so friendly and efficient. This one had no idea what "no connecting door" meant and even after I explained it, he said that he had never heard of that request. I assured him that the room assigner would understand.

He also wanted to know why I didn't want to leave "high floor" in my request. I had to explain that at the YC, the regular CL rooms are actually already on the highest floor, but that the Deluxe room we had booked at the BC is not on the CL floor, but on lower levels. He was completely confused and it was even worse when I mentioned to him that I had a map in front of me with all the YC room numbers. He had no idea how I would have that:sad2:. Poor man, he must be living without the internet:confused3.

Isn't it aggravating when you call CRO and know more about the resort you want than the agent does? ;)

I know you'll like it there. I've never wanted to stay at BC, but would love to try YC. I love their lobby. :)

YES! They can make you feel like some crazy person who is obsessed with WDW resorts - not that there's anything wrong with that...

I have NEVER been a BC fan either, but, that Deluxe room had a hold on me. But, I am soooo over that and now I'm actually very excited about our trip.

Are you planning on doing any resort recon this trip? Or have you already stayed everywhere and know what each resort "feels" like?

I have been checking almost everyday to see if there might be availablity at YC for my dates in Oct., but so far no go since there is a convention from the 16th to 20th and we need the 19th, I am just a bit worried about how busy BC might be since it handles more children, I know we love the YC since we stayed there before. Oh well it is what it is.

I get crazed when I call and get a CM who is clueless and tells me things I know are not right, so I usually rather than argue just say fine and call back again :rotfl:

@WDWKOOK: I worked form 10:30am - 6:00pm. Then I went over to the infant section and bought my niece (she's not really my niece, she's my boyfriend's niece, but we just say she's my niece since we've been dating longer than she's been born. :rotfl: She turns 10 months today!) a cute shirt! Then when I get to the car I find out that I left the headlights on my dad's car on during my whole shift. :scared1: So the car battery died. No one was nice enough or even thought, "Hey. This car's headlights are on. I should let guest services know so their car doesn't die." No. They were all too selfish to even think of such a thing.

So, I sit in my car trying to get a hold of my boyfriend. I tried calling my mum a couple of times, but apparently she was in church. My boyfriend was on the phone dealing with something. Don't remember what though. He finally answered around 6:20pm and I yelled at him about what was going on because I was frustrated and he came on over since he was already by my house. I am so grateful we planned to hang out because I would have been stranded for a while.

When he got here he charged up the battery and we were good to go by 7:00pm. We went in to Target and shopped a little. I got this big flowery tote bag from the bargain section to use as my carry on so I have extra room in my suitcase for souvenirs. :rotfl: We left at about 8:00pm and we hung out 'til about 1:00am. We just watched TV and had some dinner. He was very lethargic. We also made Easter sugar cookies! They are so cute! :)

I did check the DIS on his phone because I needed to know what was going on in this thread. :rotfl: And that was my Saturday. I was so tired. I was ready sleep at 9:30pm.
