Resort Change Polynesian or Grand Floridian

I enjoyed the poly when I stayed but the pool was just ok. It's small and my kids were bored with it. Once we moved to the BC they stayed in that pool for HOURS. I had to drag them out. My son actually gave up going to Epcot two nights just so he could continue playing pool volleyball with a group of teen boys at the pool. If your kids are pool kids and you are going in the summer BC is the way to go IMO.

When it comes to split stays, some detest them because you'll be settled and content and then have to re-orientate yourselves. I'm in the "no splits" camp if only because I fall in love with where I am first.

My kids love MK and riding the monorail, so I would choose one of those for a family trip. DH and I would choose BC because we love EPCOT and the ability to walk to EP and DHS. Have you planned out your days? If you are doing lots of MK days vs EP/HS days, that might help you choose. We enjoyed the Polynesian but thought the Royal Suites at PoR were just as comfortable and more 'Disney' immersive. We found 'club level' a waste because of our touring style. We sleep late then shut down the parks, so the club lounge hours were pointless. The concierge would have been helpful for newbies, but like most dis'ers, we had already figured out all of our rides, meals, etc.

I tend to up-sell, but have learned that with Disney paying more doesn't necessarily mean you will have a better experience, just a different one. Choose the experience that you think would best suit your family.

split stays make my vacations feel short unless I'm staying somewhere 1night and then switching elsewhere for like 9 nights. Id say don't do a split stay.
the poly and grand Floridian are my 2 favorite in all of Orlando. Ive stayed at both numerous times and even did a split stay between both in one trip. if youve never stayed at either and wont be back for a while, choose the Polynesian for sure, you will fall in love with it. if you don't, when you visit the poly while saying elsewhere it always makes people feel like they are missing out when they see the tiki torches and trader sams and the castle across the lagoon, just the vibe of the place. at the grand Floridian, it feels more luxorious but id stay there after experiencing the Polynesian because from the outside looking in you wont feel like you are missing out, its once of those places where you need to stay to understand. also I see you said club level poly vs lagoon grand Floridian, id pick poly everytime in that case

I would move to GF. Poly CL would be out for me,too much food with DDP. Rooms at GF are quite a bit larger, close to MK, and the holidays are wonderful there.

I would also keep checking for the cheaper garden view or the garden deluxe that gives you a larger room with a sitting area.

Poly CL for sure! Convenient for food/ snacking, very close to pool, great atmospjefe, castle views, firework views... super magical!!!

Maybe this was mentioned but your can WALK to Epcot from BC....or boat there and to DHS....We stay often at BWV's so this is priceless to us....Also the great SAB pool at BC...food court,restaurants....but if you come over in the evening you can see the street performers at BW...and enjoy Ample Hills Creamery there also...
