Resort change on same day as Victoria and Alberts reservation question.

Hi again,
So our travel agent was able to land our highly desired reservation for V&A's Queen Victoria room. Unfortunately because they are closed on our anniversary it has to be the day we move from GF to AKL. Additionally my wife will be using a mobility scooter as she has stage 4 lung cancer and walking is very hard on her. I'm stuck trying to figure out the best way to plan getting the scooter from GF to AKL, getting checked in at AKL, getting ready for 6:00 pm reservation, and fastest way to get back to GF in time from AKL, all while hoping AKL can get us in our room early enough so we can get dressed for dinner. Am I correct in thinking a bus is our only option? Also has anyone ever had a similar predicament about possibly being room less while needing to get dressed?'

Is there any chance you can extend your GF reservation by one day?
Or move to AKL one day early?
Because the plan you outlined would be hard on most, and extra hard on someone with physical challenges.

Accessible Minnie Van could be an option for direct transportation instead of buses, which need to go to/from a park.

Don't make any room requests aside from having your room ready early to try to get earliest access. Pack the V&A gear in separate bags so you can request just those bags from bell services in case your room is ready late and you need to change in the AKL lobby restrooms.

Accessible MV is the best transport- but the problem is you need to do it early enough to take a bus in case no accessible MVs are available. (Mears offers accessible taxis but I have no experience with them.)

Concur with @Marrila the best idea is to shift your hotel plans by one night either direction. But if you absolutely cannot do that, plan to change in the AKL lobby bathroom and take the bus.

Use an accessible Minnie van or an accessible Mears taxi.

Changing your resort reservation makes the most sense, even if it means paying cash for one night (assuming DVC stay)
