I still haven’t got an the email they sent out that included the park reservation information.

If this is true. . . I do not have words. Kicked out for the NBA?? I made my plans way before they came along.

I just did a CM chat . I asked if room modifications could be done via chat . He said no and technically your resort will not be open for your stay. He said BVC is though . I asked if that was a hint ? He said kinda lol.
So I am thinking they are pushing me to BVC . Which has no feature pool just the small DVC pool .

Hmmm if I have a WL reservation....why is it I have not received an email or a call about being moved to Boulder Ridge or somewhere? My reservation is July 19. I even talked to a cast member on the phone about park hoppers and she never mentioned a thing.

Correct. The moves for no charge were because the only options were DVC and Ft Wilderness.....which were mostly more.

Now that someone can choose a different resort within the same category, they have a similar cost option.

That is why the person...and they seem to be in the know...said call sooner rather than later, because if the rooms in your category get booked up, you may be out of Luck.

Part of the problem is that there are no posted rates out there. I know AoA and Pop are more than the All Stars. But I have no real idea how much more. And I booked through UT, so my rate was a little lower anyway. And are the new rack rates the same as before the closures?

Also, I’m going in November, and the opening schedule only goes through October. I’d hate to cancel and pay more and then have ASMo open.

I agree. I am just sharing what is being said...basically, they are doing things differently now that hotels at the value and moderate level are opening in the next month and beyond.

we are booked at the polynesian beginning on August 7th, with the Floridian not opening until September and AKL not opening until late august, where in the world are they going to put everyone? where could they relocate us to?

well, they could move you to the DVC Poly studios or even the Bungalows, they show that there’s at least some availability currently....

Thanks! I know they did, but not sure when they were last updated. Disney used to set the rates and leave them. Prior to the shutdown people were posting about rates changing quietly overnight.

That is what someone reported that those at deluxe resorts would be encourage to choose the DVC at the same place.

However, because Disney is not moving anymore...at least that is what has been said...I think you could choose something else in the same price range.

Super confused: I have a resort reservation for the Boardwalk Inn for September, since that resort is not opening until October 1st -- do I need to call Disney to change the resort?
I did not receive an e-mail or a call from Disney. Disney needs to release information in a central location with clearer language for guests.

I agree...we are booked for Sept at Boardwalk as well. I am very surprised they are not opening until 10/1. When we re-booked I chose Boardwalk thinking it might be more insulated from delays. *Sigh*

I bet they will be now sending out emails with this new info out there asking you to call and modify your trip to an open resort.

Do you have to call to change or will you be prompted to change online tomorrow when trying to make park reservations ?

If they move our resort reservation, will that erase our park reservations? I know when you switched resorts previously, it could potentially affect your fast pass reservations.

I am wondering the same thing. I added a day to an existing trip once and it wiped out my existing fast passes and I wan't even changing hotels. I called and they were able to escalate and find the Fps before they fell off the system, but that is why this idea scares me. I'm booked at a closed resort and obviously haven't been able to modify. I'm more worried about getting a park res, but maybe I shouldn't be...this is maddening.

This is a fantastic question and I was wondering as well. We will be moved from Boardwalk since it is now not opening until 10/1, so do I book park reservations first thing in the morning or will those reservations be removed?

In the past, if you had FPs and ended up with a new reservation, those wouldn’t be canceled as long as it was here within a short time,

I would be surprised if this isn’t the case. DVC owners change and cancel and rebook trips all the time and we never lost FPs.

Steam is coming out of my head. Man! It is bad enough doing this to people missing out purely due to Covid. But being kicked out because of millionaires. . .

BWI is a favorite resort - I would be fine moving to the villa side of the resort, or to the Yacht/Beach and even a small Tower room at the Riveria. I almost booked the Riveria but wanted to be able to walk to two parks -- and the rooms were more expensive, too.
