I had 8 nights starting aug 29 at beach club and they switched me to the Poly. I did not get a phone call or email just happened to notice it this morning and my Disney experience

Looks like that info came from the HUB (internal communications to CMs). Like all Disney info, it is subject to change until officially announced.

According to other posters, there is a previously booked convention at BC during your dates. The convention had been canceled, but is back on. That is the reasoning for the move to the Poly.

If you modify dates and pay any price difference have they let free dining people carry the 35% forward?

You can carry the 35% off a resort room through December 2020. I moved my late June free dining reservation to November 2020 with 35% off FW cabins. I could have used it on other DVC resorts.

Most everyone’s experience in this thread and a couple more say that if you change your dates you can only get whatever discounts are available at your rescheduled dates. Your current deals and in particular your 35% room discount (replacement for fd) will not transfer to any rescheduled stay.

Travel to Disney in the next few months is very much “take it or leave it”. Don’t get me wrong I’m sure for anyone who goes Disney will make it as magical as possible but just set expectations accordingly.

I moved my original late June reservation with free dining to November 2020 with 35% discount on the room portion only. I had a choice of DVC resorts or FW cabins.

Thanks for the info. I hope that the TA’s info about being able to carry the 35% off holds true. Is that only for modifying within 2020?

Yes, I was only able to use the 35% discount through dates in 2020. I could not use it in 2021 since at that time they were not taking any new reservations or any modifications for dates in 2021. That may change now. I am hoping I can reschedule my November 2020 dates with the 35% discount to dates in 2021. We will see next week.

Same here just noticed on friday. No notification. I am not complaining either! Asked my TA to make sure it was not a mistake and now on their website I see the Poly instead of BC listed for their special.
