What’s the annual budget for a person that goes to the resort in Orlando because when I start to work and save up money for my shop in automotive I’m going to the resort every summer and the week before Christmas for the Disney parks Christmas special on ABC

It will depend on a number of factors.

•Where will you stay? Offsite? Value? Moderate or Deluxe resort?
•How long will you stay?
•How will you get there? Fly, drive or train?
•How many are in your traveling party?
•Will you dine in table service restaurants? Quick service? Order groceries and eat in your room?
•What about souvenirs? Do you plan to buy any?
•Any Magical Extras like fireworks dessert parties, boat rentals or after-hours parties?

Once you answer those questions for yourself, you can start to work on a budget. Some people can travel with their family for a few thousand dollars. Others can easily spend more than $10K on a single week. The good news is that there's a wide range of budgets to suit a variety of people.

As the poster above me said, it's really up to you.

For us, we like lower end resorts, so we stay at Pop. It's like our home resort. If we decided to splurge, we'll go to one of the All Star resorts or (if we're feeling like spending a lot of money) the Coronado. But for us, the room is really only to sleep and shower other than a mid-day (2ish-5ish) break.

We don't usually do the dining plan, but we try and pick a nice sit down to do 1-2 times per trip. For our food, we buy a $25 Disney Gift Card every pay check. We each get paid 2x per month, so we can buy $100 in gift cards each month. Then we use that to buy food, snacks, etc. although we like to bring snacks in our luggage.

As far as buying stuff, we try to each buy a shirt every trip. Other than that, maybe buy something for the kitchen or home and that's about it. We might buy 6 items between us on our trip.

So with all that in mind, I know I'm going to have to budget about $3k-$4k for a trip of 5-6 days.

For us the most expensive part is the park tickets..
We bring most of our meals with us and money for snacks so our food budget is low. Everyone is a little diffrent on how they eat.
We have stayed on and off site.. the last few times were on site because I book the ticket room packages and pay them off 50 and 100 a week..
FYI We went to the christmas special recording once it was the first week in November

No matter how small our budget was, we always found a way to travel and enjoy life. We saved money by traveling off season, staying offsite, driving instead of flying/renting a car, not spending a ton on food, etc. Tickets are expensive but the rest of the vacations costs can vary a lot. Anything is possible if you dare to dream it and are willing to work hard for it.

The parade is often filmed in November or early December and is not highly publicized. It is fun to attend the taping and worth the time to research when it is planned. Filming starts before the park opens. Wear Christmas clothing if you hope to be on tv.

I spent about 8k for my family of four in 2019. That was with the Dining Plan, free airfare, Christmas Party tickets, one day rental car for a trip to Cape Canaveral. And buying my kids all kinds of souvenirs since this was also their Christmas present. I could have spent much less, I could have spent much more. But I don't regret spending anything I did or feel that I missed out on much by not spending more.
