Resort Availibility mid Oct

Does anyone know what is going on the week of Oct 18th? There are hardly any resorts available...I know F&W but during other weeks there is a ton of availibility...just confused...thanks for your help...

There is another thread on this, the Gartner Group conference has Swan, Dolphin & about 5-6 WDW resorts booked solid. Plus F&W and fall break.

The Gartner Symposium runs Oct 21-25. Could you change your dates to leave before it starts, or arrive after it finishes?

I also found it odd that the Hyatt MCO has NO AVAILABILITY for Friday Oct 20. I heard that hotel had lots of rooms. I figure everyone is spending the night at the airport hotel before they embark on WDW!
