When arriving at your resort do you stop at the guard station or the far right side that is for returning guests. Starting at Caribbean beach with a rental car.

The guard will match you with a check-ins list and ask to see your ID.

On his current WL Cascade Cabins YouTube trip report, Tim Tracker successfully tried using the automated gate for arrival after online check-in.

Interesting. Good news for those of us who know how to be sure our magic bands are linked and our check in is done. Others will be trying to back out with cars behind them...

My experience, when I was driving buses, was that usually when a car was blocking the automated gate, the Security cm crossed over to help them out. It might take a few minutes if they're busy. I believe they also have the ability to open the gate from inside the booth.

Yes indeed. I would just hate to be the one who has to go through ID and check holding up the "express lane" and the guard lane at the same time!

That is interesting. It does make sense that if you have checked in and have your room number and magic band you could just proceed through the gate and straight to your room. I have some DVC rentals coming up and will have a car. Thanks for posting that.
