Resort Arcades

I'd like to get some information on the various WDW resort arcades. We've stayed at GF and BWV and these arcades were nice, but when we stayed at the Contemporary last time I was amazed at the size of this area and how much fun we all had there. We used it in the evening after a day at the parks while grabbing a snack at the food and fun center. It was never very crowded and the kids could actually turn in their tickets for some great prizes--which they loved. Now, I never thought this would be a consideration when choosing a resort, but after this last trip and the way the kids still talk about that arcade--I'd like to get some feedback on your experiences at the other resorts as we begin planning our next trip. Contemporary
YC/BC
CSR
POR

Hi,

I have a couple arcade conoisserus myself (wait, make that 3; forgot my DH) and they say the best aracdes are located at the:

Contemporary
Port Orleans - Riverside

The arcade is not one of the strong points at WL. I think I described it as Chuck E Cheese on steriods in my trip report. It wasn't crowded when we checked it out just small and really noisy. However, WL has so much other things going on that I wouldn't consider this a negative.

The Contemporary definitely wins hands down. I particularly enjoyed having the food center next to it. The arcade at POR is quite big too but not as big and it has no food center. We found the arcade at the Dolphin very small.

POR has a great arcade. No prizes but it seems to have most of the updated machines, lots of .75 - 1.50 games. I had a great time playing the nascar arcade and most of the racing games. and btw, this is coming from a kid, so value it so .

The Contemporary is by far the best (does anyone remeber when they had a shooting gallery and a movie theater down there? The Fiesta Fun Center was the place to be when I was a kid!) The YC/BC has a nice arcade, but it stays busy. Though one nice thing is you can play in the arcade while you wait for a table at Beaches and Cream.

Contemporary is #1. But beileve it or not the all stars (all)ha ha! is the same set-up. Many game choices, lots of casino type machines and reedemable tickets for great prizes!! For 3 of our last 5 trips the arcade Was our deciding factor...and I have girls(not meant to sound sexist)!

Thanks for all the replies! This is very helpful. Anyone try CBR or Polynesian? And is there a specific arcade for say, All Star Movies, or do they all share one common area? And is the POR arcade in the building with the check in area?

The POR arcade is in the with main building but there are entrances in 2 corners of the arcade so you won't have to go to the lobby.

Hi Again~ We stayed at the Poly this last trip and tried the arcade. It's nice...some good pinball machines and interactive games(water surfing, jetskiing, etc.) No ticket redemtion but a nice perk for this arcade is the 1 hour FREE play! I think its on Monday...all resort guest can play ALL the games for free!!!! The lifeguards run it....not too crowed either!!!! The location is obscure,all the way back by the Neverland club, but ofcourse its beautiful grounds so the walk is a treat! Also the All Stars each have thier own arcade. The set up is the same in all three. The check-in , food court, giftshop and arcade is all in one building...the main building, really no other main building on any of these sites.
