Resort Airline Check-In Service

So, with 24hour check-in, will the resort check you in? We leave at 10am on a Sunday, do I need to go down to the desk and have them do on-line check in at 10am on Saturday?

Or will they automatically do it for me?

I'm not sure. I didn't need them to check me in, but they did anyway around 5am the day of my flight (flight was at noon). They left the boarding passes on my door along with my magical express info and copy of my resort bill.

If for some reason they can't or won't check you in at 24 hrs, you can check in yourself. (It is very easy to check in online on your own. If you have a smart phone you can check in at the parks.)

I have also heard that some resorts (like AoA) have computers that are dedicated for guest to check themselves in and print boarding passes. This may be available at all resorts, but I don't know for sure.

Yes, I have a smart phone, but how do I print my passes? Connect my phone to their printers?

I guess it really won't matter, since I have 5 kids (2 that are under 6) so I should be able to load between A and B seating.

The concierge desk at the resorts or guest relations at any park or DTD will pull up your reservation for you and print it out.

:thumbsup2 Now that you say that, it all makes sense. I have not flown since 2007, so I was thinking it goes to my e-mail, but now it is all coming back to me! Thanks so much.

Just for future reference, you can check in on your smart (or not-so-smart phone, like mine, if it has internet access) and then simply print out your boarding passes at the airport. It comes in real handy for us, especially with SW, when we what to check in 24hr prior but don't want to HAVE to be next to a computer and printer to do it.

:goodvibes

I think the poster is always saying that you can do your checkin with the airlines at your resort if you are flying South WEst airlines... its an awesome perk! I am not sure if other airlines participate or not? We also fly SW. It really is good though to checkin at the 24 hr mark.. b/c you might run the chance of boarding a lot later than others.. I have seen families split up and I have even sat by others children b/c they boarded in group B or C...

By checking in with southwest at the 24hr mark you are reserving your place in line for bording. Then you can get your boarding pass one of the following ways:

1. Have concierge desk/travel desk print it for you.

2. If you are taking magical express (or have given disney your flight #'s), the boarding pass should be on your room door the morning of your departure (disney resort perk).

3. At the airport, you can print it at the ticket counter or self service kiosk. I can't remember if MCO has an express line for this, but most airport do.

If you're worried about checking in at the 24 hr mark, you can purchase early bird check in from southwest. It's $10 per person per way (you can pick and chose who and which way to best suit your needs). Early bird will automatically check you in at the 24 hour mark and reserve your place in the boarding line. Then print your boarding pass as stated above.
