Who here has played a Resident Evil game? The very notion of an Umbrella - style multinational conglomerate actually sends shivers down my spine! And those games are scary enough in themselves!

I have played many of the games. I started with RE4 which is just a masterpeice of a game. i could never get into the earlier ones with the static backgrounds becuase they are hard to control. I should check out the remakes of 2 & 3 since they have the modern over-the shoulder style. I haven't played through the FPS ones, but have played the Raid Modes a little. I prefer the third-person view though.

I remember playing Code: Veronica on the Dreamcast and being terrified! It was the first fully 3D Resident Evil game to be made and some of the scenes were just chilling. I have only just started Resident Evil 4 but so far, it's fantastic.

Yeah, Code V was a step in the right direction, but it still had the control scheme of the earlier games. I got Resi 0 and the REmake of one on a Steam sale once, but they are jsut so hard to play! I remember getting 4 on sale when out Christmas shopping. I figured it was a good deal, so what the hey. I brought it home and started palying at like midnight (back when I did such things). It scared the heck out of me! It was at that point I realized the joy of survival horror type of games.

I don't normally like games that don't leave me smiling and happy, such as Samba de Amigo, Chu Chu Rocket and Jet Set Radio, but the Resident Evil franchise is just so masterful! You can't help but hand it to them really!

1-3 are my favorites as I played them when they first came out as a teen. The sound effects really set the tone. I remember the noise of the doors opening. Zombie moans and shuffling. Dogs running. The save room music. My dad was so mad after he found out he needed an actual memory card to save 😆

I’ve played REmake. I’ll have to try the other remastered ones.
