OK, I have never done this before and I am so overwhelmed that I am tempted just to forget the whole thing.

We are planning to book 1 bed villa for 5th Feb to 15th Feb at OKW with DDP.

However, I'm worried that this doesn't give me much time to research, and that all the decent eating places may already be booked, so I have an option to delay the trip till October.

Would you go for Feb or Oct?

So I really really am a complete novice, I have no idea what is on offer, how long things are open, what happens in the evenings etc. etc.

Also can someone please please help me out... I realise that it's best to book in advance, and actually that way will help me plan out where we are going on that day, but I have no idea of where to book. It will be my eldest daughters 9th birthday on the 7th so I would love something special on that day. Any suggestions.

We only booked 2 weeks ago for 17-24 Feb and I got all the ADRs I wanted.

I got LeCellier for dinner the day and time I wanted. I also a pre-rope drop breakfast at both Tusker House and Crystal Palace with several options.

Chef Mickeys was the only one I had to compromise on with time.

If you have an idea of a few places you want to eat at goto the website and see the availability.

Just did a random search, I picked a very busy restaurant (Cali Grill) a very popular time 7:30pm on a random date in your trip 7th Feb, it offered me 7:35pm
Looks to me like you will have no problems getting what you want but check yourself, it is very easy to book ressies and change if needed, all done online, very simple process.

As others have said, Feb is a quieter month ans as long as you can be a little flexible in your times then you'll have no problem getting ADRs.

I use touring plans.com - it costs about $10 dollars a year but gives you the best park to visit each day and a crowd score out of 10 eg 2/10 is quiet or 10/10 packed.

It also gives the times of the parades etc. It will also give you a touring plan for each day aswell if you wish.

The official wdw website lists all the meals by park and resort.

I like to use allears.net which lists all the restaurants and has menus and pricing.

I draw up a list of restaurants we want to go to and fit it into my plans eg so do a restaurant in or near MK on a MK day.

If you look at my 2010 dining report in my signature it gives you an idea of how we fitted meals in.
