Reserving site..and not occupying it?

you are seedy enough to hang with me and rog. any pregnant nun drinking the wine is good enough by us

Look no further than the Florida residents for this abuse.....Its been well documented in these threads .......Phantom Reservations:scared1:

I am not sure what your problem is with Florida residents!!!! Because we are residents, are we not allowed to enjoy the resort as much as someone coming from out of state. We live close and like to book weekends at a time to enjoy camping - is that a crime?????????????? As stated before, Disney limits the amount of sites that they will reserve for people only wanting to stay for the weekends, which should then leave plenty of sites open for people wanting to stay for longer periods. We do not make Phantom Reservations - we stay at the site and enjoy the campground. We rarely even go into the parks during our stays at Ft. Wilderness.

I am sorry if Florida residents are so offensive to you. Maybe you should refrain from coming to Florida!!!

Hey, take it to the angry thread. We are talking about taking over the campground here.
:lmao:

I am sorry - I am not trying to bring negativity to the thread, but he seems to have a real issue with Florida residents and I find him a bit offensive.

I realize I moved the topic from beer, a complete takeover of FW, and seedy nuns, but I felt I needed to stand up for those of us who live here and still love FW as much as the rest of you. If FW is taken over by FW Guy, are Florida residents still going to be allowed???

I love the way these threads meander. My sister lives in Polk City and I'm sure she feels the same way as you do. Now back to our regularly scheduled program,

:rotfl:

If he allows seedy beer drinking nuns, then I'm sure a Florida resident or two will be perfectly acceptable!!!!:rotfl2:

we have pet loops, prefered loops, partial hook-loops, etc........

Maybe the fort will have resident loops...........they will be full on the weekend but empty on the week days.......:thumbsup2 .........that would help CRO....with Phantom reservations :scared1: from Florida residents.....

C'moooon..................I was completly wrong and tried to redeem myself when the heart of this thread was ANYTHING but "uninteresting".......I really didnt mean it like that. This is a GREAT thread......Auntie....you've made your way into "THE CAST" here.........I know , its nothing to be proud of, and you may never want your children to know it....but your one of us!!!

Yes, Rog..you certainly did try to redeem yourself and I appreciate it.;) Or as Gatordad says..."nice backpedaling"
Oh...and I'm quite proud to be included in "The Cast"! :wizard: (maybe I will keep that to myself!)

Since I discriminate against all people equally, regardless of color, creed or state of origin, Florida residents will have as much a chance of having their request for admission to Kungalooshville rejected as anyone else.

I am afraid to ask what type of screening process those of us who are not in "the Cast" may have to endure!!!;)

You mean to tell me that you could look at those two adorable faces I have posted under my user name and tell them they can not come to Kungalooshville. They would be heart broken!!:sad1:

Shame on you for using two adorable children to try to bribe your way into Kungalooshville. The price is a case of beer - but it has to be good beer.

That was easier than I thought!:yay:

I am ashamed for using my adorable girls to get into Kungalooshville, but I was desperate!!!

OK, now here comes another bombshell, I do not care for beer at all, so I am not educated as to what is a good beer. I guess Schlitz is out of the question???:confused3

I wouldn't let people know. They might try to put you away in the same institution as us.

The thing that bugs me about people reserving sites and never using them is:

a) They almost always reserve partial hook-up's (not the expensive RV sites) which takes away from the already limited amounts of tent sites. For example, last year I had to stay one day short of what I wanted because I couldn't get an extra day added. Supposedly, all the partial hook-up's were booked full. when I arrived and for the entire stay the place was deserted. About half the sites were never in use by anyone (not the same sites but scattered as people came and left). My parents questioned me about having to make reservations 5 months in advance when it was that way and all I could think of was that people were booking them and never using them.

B) Because people only rent them for a day or two for the perks and don't use them it hurts people like me who like to stay for longer periods of time because it's a big problem to pack-up and move 2 big tents, canopy tent, clothes, mattresses, etc... when you can't keep the same camp site for the entire stay. I almost had that happen in 2006 but they finally were able to work around it at the last minute. ie... it breaks up the time period that you can keep a camp site when many are reserved 1 or 2 days only. I still don't understand why they I would have had to move since you can't reserve specific camp sites but I guess it's something in the reservation system.

It's a pain in the butt having to relocate a campsite..be in an RV or tent site. I suppose from what I've read here it's done with value resort rooms also. Only I imagine that a campground guest is more likely to be aware of it, as they are obviously looking at sites around them they know full well are not occupied. That must be very aggravating given you may have to move or cut your vacation short by days. Where as when a value resort room is booked but not occupied..who really knows who is occupying their rooms or not..unless you're some sort of "peeping Tom".:scared1: It may go on but guests are not as aware, or as inconvenienced by it. If you have to change rooms it's not as big a deal to pack a bag as opposed to changing campsites. I would think with the campsites there would be an easier way..just by visually looking that they haven't been occupied, and Disney would be able to do something about it..IF they wanted to. Which apparently given that the sites are paid for, they don't.

Oh well, all you site stealing, back pedaling, beer drinking, Kungaloosh King, Seedy Nun, Florida residents probably pool hop and refill your old mugs too!party:
What a bunch!

Well you know what, I am going to have to set you straight on this, NOT ALL FL RESIDENTS JUST STAY FOR THE WEEKENDS AND NOT ALL WEEKENDERS ARE FL RESIDENTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can not stay at FW just for a weekend and I am just an hour away so when I go we stay for a week or more.....and just how far away do you really think GA and SC and AL are from FL, there are some people in those states that make weekend trips to FW.
