reserving more rooms on best rate program...

hi.

we've booked our room using the AP best rate program, but when we went to book another room for my parents, it had my dh (the passholder) for one of the 2 guests. obviously, they need dh's passholder info., but there is no way to indicate on-line that HE is not one of the guests in this room. do we just add one parent's name on the registration now, then call tomorrow to take dh's name off/add another parent's name? is there a chance that doing this will cancel or current reservation? could we be penalized for changing/"adding" a guest (and "terms and conditions" of the best rate program state that this is not allowed).

have you considered booking with a TA? My TA was able to reserve 3 rooms for us using my AP and they have the correct people in the correct rooms. When I was looking at info online, it automatically filled in my name since I was signed in to the passholder site but I guess it doesn't do that to TAs since mine was able to list me as lead person on my room, my daughter on her room and my niece on her room. We all have the best rate program and it was my AP that was used to reserve them all. The TA said she just noted that we were travelling together.

I also booked three rooms two for my family and one for my sisters, I left out her husband. I called and spoke with someone who said and checked with a supervisor that you can still reserve three rooms with annual pass you just have to be there at registration time. He did not change the names on the reservation, he said that at check in we can fix it.. I have a feeling our check in will be long and tedious for the cast member.

I too have 3 rooms booked through the passholder website. I am sure the system will get fixed rather quickly when these issues hit the resort managers.

after wasting 20 mins. with the first CM i spoke with that kept asking if i just wanted to book a room with her, instead (because she didn't really know anything about the best rate program), i called back to speak with someone who found the answer in writing. she had what i assumed to be a FAQ list and just read the response to me...just as you others have posted, you book the other rooms with the passholder as the "primary" guest and list the guests staying in the room (minus the one name that doesn't fit because the passholder's name is there, instead). then at check-in, you switch the names with no penalty. seems like a huge hassle. worth it, though, if we get a bit more of a discount before november!!!
