Reserving BWV during F & W Festival

I am in the process of purchasing SSR. My family enjoys BWV during the F & W Festival. My guide told me that I shouldn't have a problem reserving a resort other than my home resort unless I go Christmas or Easter week. I have read it may be hard to reserve BWV or BCV during F & W Festival. What are the chances of getting a two bedroom at BWV or BCV during this time seven months ahead?

How flexible are you? The FW festival lasts for 6 weeks. If you have to go at a certain time, you may have bad luck. But if you can adjust a little you shouldn't have a problem.

For your first choice of dates, you should start with day by day calling and ask how things look for the time period you want to go.

I've been wondering the same thing as well. My DH and I would like to go for the first time this year but our home resort is VWL. So I must wait until the 7 month window to book at BWV. We only need a studio but need to line up flights and check DD's calendar, etc. Just wondering how hard it might be since I want to avoid Columbus Day weekend and Halloween.

We generally go Columbus day weekend, which is probably one of the more busier of the weekends because school is out. Last year I was not able to get a 2bdr. I can't remember when I started to call, may have been after the 7 month window. It was also the first time I was on a waitlist and didn't get in. So with that in mind, if you can avoid that weekend, your chances are probably better than mine where.

As of today, preferred studios were avail for 10/8-10/15. No standards. I was thinking of switching from our Nov trip. But, since we have std view for Nov, we're going to stick with it.

I just upgraded from a Std Studio to a Std 1BR yesterday for 10/15-10/22. We had a BWV add on come through and that's why we upgraded.

It's a busy time to book a room we have already booked a one bed & a studio standard for 10 days in Nov right at the 11 month window book asap becouse the closer we get to the wine fest they allways are at full capasity due to the popularity of the wine fest

We're waiting for a BWV add-on, when did your's come through, iwaseeyore, and how long were you on the list?

If we can get it, we would like a MNSSHP this year, otherwise it'll be '06 when we can manage that.

It came through on Tuesday, January 25th. We went on the first week of November. The add on was a 100 points.

As a point to making reservations. We changed our reservation for last year, October 23-30 from the VWL at 7 months and got a standard view 2br.

Last year, I booked a 2-BR at BCV for the F&WF right at the seventh month window, calling day by day. I had my pick of BCV and BWV. I would definitlely do day by day though, just to sure!
