Reserving Beach Club

Just curious if anyone has tried making any reservations at the Beach Club Villas?

MS has been accepting BCV reservations for over two weeks now.

Many BCV owners and other DVC members have been making reservations already. There is not a lot of member availability, since only about 15-20% of the resort has been declared into inventory at this time. More availability will be added as sales continue.

I called MS on Thursday 3/21/02 for out upcoming 10/02 trip. It is the exact 7 month window. I was prepared to stay at BCV, VWL, or OKW and told the CM that and he said they had availabilty at BCV. We got a 1-bdrm for 8 nights with no waitlist. Ten minutes, tops, and I was done.

We also got reservations at BCV. We will be staying there for five days in a 2BR over Columbus Day weekend. We already had reservations at BWV (our home resort), but we thought this may be the only time we get to try the BCV so we switched. It should be great because everything will be brand new. We requested to be in a room not facing the bus road. We like to sit out on the balcony, and we didn't want to breathe in the fumes. We can't wait to hear from the first wave of DVCers who go July 1st.

We changed our reservations from VWL to BCV on our 7 month window. We have a 2 bedroom villa and a studio for October 11-18th.

Although our home resort is VWL, this will be our first trip home. We are so excited. We just couln't resist SAB.

We talk about it and plan every day. Well, at least I do. It kinda of drives my DW nuts.

I have been reserving the BCV day by day for the last 9 days! Only one more day to go. I have kept my OKW reservation until I get all the days. One interesting point, the lady at MS said when I cancel my OKW reservation make sure and ask them to resuffle my points. My OKW was booked using banked points and will return as banked points unless I ask them to tidy it up. I didn't think of this and I wonder how many would know to do it!

Also what is the best location at BCV ? I have asked to be facing Epcot, should I ask for something else ?

ask for a view of Epcot - it looks like (from the map) that some rooms will face epcot but because of the woods you won't be able to see it.

some people have also asked for either FW or WS.

I'm on the waiting list for three of the eight nights my family will be at BCV in late August. If I'm reading your post in this thread correctly, will our chances of success increase as more BCV inventory is sold over the next weeks and months, or am I really just waiting for existing reservations to cancel?

I'm on the wait list also and my chances don't look good.
I have WL booked already for the week of the 4th of July.
I tried to change to BC but they only had the 5th open right now. I don't want to switch and then switch again so I will stay where I am until I hear from someone as to two or more nights.
I really really want to try Stormalong Bay and know they will be blocking pool hopping that week.
Everyone keep your fingers crossed for me. Peggie

Member inventory will be added as sales continue. The availability will also depend on the number of cash reservations already accepted for that time period.

I'd be optimistic and look for that BCV reservation.

Hey, lsutigger, it looks like we'll be there for the same trip! I called on 3/21/02 for an 8 night stay and got into a 1 BR no problem although she did say that she ONLY had 1BR's left. We switched from VWL to BCV just to try it out! After this trip, we'll have stayed in all DVC resorts except VB! I'm psyched!!!!

I had no trouble getting reservations for September - can't wait. Of course in May when I try to get reservations for December it will probably be a different story.

pentex.. they do have dedicated 2 bedrooms, i specifically asked that and my guide told me the ratio is pretty close, something like 74 dedicated and 76 lock-offfs.

Luv2dream, are you going because DH loves to golf and wants to be there for the Nat'l Car Rental Classic? We thought we could do that and maybe Food/Wind Festival at Epcot.
Maybe we'll see you there.
CM didn't tell me what was left and I didn't ask, I was so excited that we could get in. It will be our first trip in a 1 bdrm, last year we stayed in a studio.
