This morning I reserved the holiday tour for the first day it is available , the 21 st of Nov. It is available twice a day , we got the later tour for 4:30.

Woohoo! I'm thinking of doing this for our December trip. It's DBF's 22nd birthday and it would be a nice suprise! What does the tour include?

basically a tour guide will walk around with a candle and if others are on the same tour but just different groups, everytime you see them you have to yell out really loud merry christmas or some crazy thing...its kind of funny....what you do is go through all of DL...we didnt hit CA at all...the guide stops at different areas that hold history for DL during christmas...secrets of the tree, go to the mezuzah (sp?) which is something they use for Chanukah, then we went to the Candy palace and got samples of the chocolate mint and pumpkin fudge oh man was that good and if you are there during a certain time before christmas you get one of their homemade candy canes...she talked about Santa Claus and the role that Coca Cola company plays in the way hes perceived today..then you go to Adventureland and learn how to say Merry Christmas in other languages, and learn about Kwanzaa, you basically go through all the areas in DL and learn about the decorations and history...dont want to give it all a way....we got to ride HMH, the train, and IASWH without waiting in lines...then we ended up over by FF refreshment area and they gave us hot cocoa in one of the YOAMD mugs and HUGE gingerbread cookies to eat...when its all over they had reserved us seating right at the end of IASW where the parade started at and we got front row first stop seats plus they gave us a really cute tinkerbell santa pin that you couldnt buy at the park...its a great tour and I encourage anyone who is remotely interested in it to do it....

I stoled this from an earlier thread..........you do get an AP discount too!

I'm going to try to book our tour for November 24th on Friday. I assume you also still get on IASW and HM. They must squeeze alot in fast to get it all in before the 6:15 parade. But then again, you just sit down and the parade starts!

I had heard you couldn't book the tour until 30 days before. Is this true? :confused3

I just emailed VP to make sure they had us down for the evening one and not the afternoon one!

Yes, 30 days out is correct however I went through VP to have them reserve mine for December.

Vacation Planning......if you stay onsite at one of the resort hotels they can arrange tours, preferred seating for Fantasmic, etc. and also have items delivered to your room.

You will love it. We did the tour last December, and it is hands down the best thing we have ever done at DL. My whole family loved it. We also did the 4:30 tour.

We had a really great tour guide. You get headsets so that you can hear him (everyone wears headphones), and he told Christmas stories and sang songs for us. He programed his Ipod with Christmas songs (some Disney, others like Nat King Cole) and piped that over our headphones so that we listened to them as we walked the park. You get to walk on the rides Haunted Mansion and It's A Small World, and ride the train. At the end of the tour you sit in special seats for the parade (and they are great--all of the characters in the parade paid lots of attention to us!) and drink your hot chocolate and eat your Christmas cookies.

It was really neat to learn about the different ways Xmas is celebrated around the world, and all that goes into decorating the park for the holidays. I smiled the whole tour and loved every minute of it!

I almost wish we could take it again this year!

What is the cost of the holiday tour? I might have missed it, but about how long does it take?

TIA!!

Erika

I'll be on the later tour the 21st of Nov. It will be just mine 9 year old and I . he is thrilled!
does the tour move fast? I heard it is lots of walking. The seats for the parade sound delightful . we are planning on wear X-mas clothes and I'm bringing the good camera for the parade shots.

Is this tour for adults only or could a family with kids do it?

I was wondering these questions as well. I have two boys (DS8 and DS4) and the little one is pretty busy, so not too sure if he's to squirmy for a tour at this age.

$59 regular 20 0/0 off for ap holders

I wonder if a 4 year old would get bored??????
