Reserved Fanstasmic seating

If we're to need handicapped seating at Fantasmic, is it worth it to book the dinner package with reserved seating? In other words, does the reserved seating provide for special needs guests also?

We're only allotting one day to do DHS, so seeing Fantasmic is a must. I'm debating whether to do an early CS and just get to the show early or to make ADRs, which would only be of use if we got guaranteed special needs seating.

I ride a power wheelchair and watched Fantasmic! many times. I have only used the dinner reservation seats once.
My view, is that there is no real advantage in having a dinner reservation. Wheelchair / ECV parking spaces are all around the back row and I have never found them to be completely full, even when arriving 20-30 minutes before the performance.

But then, I never visit WDW at peak season.

We've done Fantasmic many times also and never used the package. If you want to make sure you get in, enter the amphitheater area about 45 min to an hour before the show. You will be shown to a seat right away. In the past, there were many less wheelchair spots - the back seat was about 3/4 seats and 1/4 wheelchair spots. Now, it's set up with more like 80% wheelchair spots and 20% seats. Plan that one member of your party sits next to you and the rest sit directly in front. The back 3 rows are reserved - the last for wheelchairs and the 2 in front for the rest of the party.

Thanks so much for the input. I would much rather spend my time seeing DHS than sitting down for a TS. This has made that decision much easier. We'll just show up a bit early and enjoy some people watching.

I know I have seen the projector thing that does the reverse captioning, but don't know just where you have to sit to access it.
There is a small screen that displays the text backwards. The user positions a plexiglass screen in front of them. The text is reflected frontwards so the user can read it. Because the plexiglass is clear, you can still watch the show through it while you read the text.

Thank you for the reply. I know there was a thread awhile back where talking hands answered that question but I haven't been able to find it. (And of course my vacation is next month) My daughter did use CC last year for Fantasmic, but we didn't know they had it until we got there and fortunately they had a seat for our family. My question really meant to ask where I should sign up for CC ahead of time.

I have never seen many deaf in the section for the captioning. The only problem is for those who are deaf or hard of hearing and also a wheelchair user. There is only one space for a wheelchair or ECV in the section for captioning and if you are not there early you will not have a seat or will be forced to transfer to a bench seat that has no back.

Yes.
It does. That's the area where we sat in early April when we went to Fantasmic. We were on the edge of that area, not in the center, so I know just where you mean.

Yes, last 4 rows of the section closest to the food stand to the left of the section. It extended about 1/3 of the way from the right edge of the section. Long bench leaving only 1 wheelchair space in the section
