Can you make a reservation for Chef's Mickey before your reservations are made at a Disney Resort?

Yes, but either way, you can only make your priority seatings 90 days out. If you aren't aware of it, Disney doesn't take dining "reservations" in the traditional sense. They are PS's.

To expand on this, a "reservation" entitles you to a table at a restaurant at a certain time. With a "priority seating," meanwhile, you show up at the restaurant at a certain time and then you are entitled to the next available table for a party of your size at the restaurant. However, if other parties with similarly timed PS's arrive at the restaurant first, they will be seated first. Thus, while your table may be available at the time of your PS, at many of the more popular restaurants, you may have to wait for a table to become available, even with a PS.
