Does anyone know how early you can find out your site number? Any and all help would be appreciated!

1) WE usually know 4-5 days ahead of time, when they are assigned.
2) Based upon circumstances, not until the evening prior or the morning of check-in.
3) YOU won't be told until the site is ready to be occupied.
4) This means it could be early in the day or not until well after lunch.
. . . we are not allowed to tell you, in case we have to move your location
. . . and, this happens all the time, whether a resort room or FW site
5) Letting people know early would cause major conversations as folks try for other locations.
6) It is typically not a pleasant talk with the Front Desk CM.

Welcome knuck8234! Unfortunately you won't know until the last minute. If for some reason the site just won't work for you, you can request another.

Do they text you like they do at other resorts? Or do you find out when you pull up?

1) If you check-in EARLY in the morning, you have a good chance at snagging a loop of your choice.
2) Just like resort rooms, we can switch people around. *
. . . check-in as close to 6:05am as possible
3) The later you check-in, the fewer choices you (or us) have to switch locations.
. . . we can move other people into other rooms/sites
. . . sure, they get less than they wanted, but first-come-first-served, regardless of the pre-check-in assignment
. . . if you check-in late, you get your assigned location (or what is left over after we switch things around)

* This happens EVERY DAY at EVERY RESORT, including FW.

Just curious, I have a reservation for a partial hook-up & I spoke with a group camping rep on Friday who very kindly added a tent rental to my reservation. In my pre-check-in online, I requested the 1500 loop. If the CM is able to honor that based on availability, is there a chance I would get it since they're setting up my tent for me ahead of my 4:00 PM scheduled arrival?

Much like any other check-in. I suspect it all depends on the requirements of the day. If the same crew that is cleaning sites also sets up the tent rentals, it could make a difference where you get and when you get it. I will say that they do try to honor as many requests as possible, but it's difficult to honor them all. I would say that the sooner you can Physically check in, the better.

1) There is no guarantee the tent will be setup prior to 4:00pm.
2) The site or resort room might not be ready for occupancy until later in the day.
3) If not ready, we often reassign the location (site or room) to one that is available elsewhere.
4) This is one reason we don't tell guests their site or room number in advance of actual physical check-in.

NOTE: Late check-ins happen all the time at WDW. We have issued keys to people as late as 6:00pm or 7:00pm.
. . . it can be the fault of the previous guest (checking out late)
. . . it could be the fault of housekeeping (not cleaning the room or site quick enough)
. . . it could the fault of maintenance (having to fix something)
. . . it could be the fault of room inspectors (not releasing the room for occupancy)
