Reservations looked ok on paper, but they were at the wrong resort!

Almost forgot to pass this on....Got confirmation in the mail for POR...all looked fine and I didn't think anymore about it. However, when the discount codes came out and I called to check on them I had a really big surprise! The confirmation number and name and dates were all fine except they actually had me booked at the Grosvenor!!!!! (Nothing against that facility...it's just that the whole thing was so wrong.) The paper in my hand said POR with all the right dates, special requests i.e. non-smoking, river view, etc. She couldn't even begin to explain how it happened. Anyway, it all turned out OK. They straightened it out. I'm booked at the right resort, as far as I know. Hope it was just a fluke. But I would never have known had I not tried to get a better rate.

Was this with a travel agent?

Glad you were able to straighten it out!

I am really confused if you did not use a travel agent who did you book with? Maybe I'm wrong but I don't think Disney could book you in a non-disney property. Did your confirmation come in the normal big yellow envelope from Disney Reservations?

Cinda, that's why I asked too. I didn't think Disney booked Grovesnor.

I've never used a traval agent for WDW...too much fun doing it myself!

 It really does not make any sense. WDW CRO only books Disney resorts. Are you sure you booked through WDW? What number are you calling? I hope their computer system is not messing up that bad now! That really is bizarre. Glad you got it straightened out! I would probably call back again at some point-at least your yellow slip is accurate for resort. You should get a new one though with the discount rate.

Hope this helps: I did call myself through CRO and yes, I did get a yellow confirmation in the mail which said that I had reservations at Port Orleans Riverside for the days I requested and even had my requests listed, correctly, as well. Scary, huh? As I said, the confirmation looked to be absolutely correct and I did not question anything at the time I received it....Only when I called to ask about the code to see if there were any left for my dates did the CRO say to me, Well, we don't have any codes that apply to the Grosvenor! I said, But I have reservations at Port Orleans Riverside. I explained that I had a written confirmation in the mail stating just that. When he looked me up with the corresponding confirmation number his computer said I was booked at the Grosvenor! By the way, the confirmation number on my written yellow copy was the same one given to me verbally on the phone at the time of booking. Anyway, all is well now.
