Reservations easier to get now or just me?

I've noticed it too. I just made a few changes yesterday for our trip next week and got everything I wanted. I know Jan isn't a very busy time, but still, it was so easy. Strange.

Between yesterday and today we threw together a summer trip for June 27 - July 6. DH called for our ADRs this morning...and got EVERYTHING we wanted, including 3 ressies at Le Cellier (one too many IMHO, but he loves it there!).

We are going in one month and when I called last weekend I got Spoodles for the exact day and time I wanted, but the CM told me it was the last table available for the entire day. I wasn't so lucky with Coral Reef - they are 100% booked the entire day, so I have my fingers crossed that someone will cancel and we'll be able to get in there. Hopefully we'll have the same results for our October trip that you all are having!

We are going in a bit less than 2 weeks and TODAY I decided I wanted a different day for Crystal Palace early breakfast and got it with no problem. Jan is slow but that's not how it has been the last few Jan's.

I just made my reservations for the first week of March. Yep--just 50 days in advance for a spur of the moment trip and I had absolutely no problems getting a reservation for any place we wanted and even got a variety of times to choose from.

When I mentioned how surprised I was to the CM, she told me, "The only one that was even slightly an issue was breakfast at Ohana." And I got the exact time I was looking for anyway.

I was pretty tickled to not have to adjust my tentative schedule in the least. :thumbsup2

:cool1: Hi Amy! I got everything I wanted on Monday for our upcoming trip in April too! I also found the ressies not to be real booked either. I have looked at literally 10-12 different possiblities and resorts and everything I have plugged in was available:confused3 I think people might be waiting for codes!;)

Going Feb 10 -15 and was able to make all my reservations today.

Also booked a Breathless Illuminations cruise a week ago with no problems.

Easy breezy

I made three recent changes. The last two weeks I canceled two and added Coral Reef and Artist Point. CR was available for dinner, but at a slightly earlier time than I would have like, but at least it was available. I had no problem to get the time I wanted for AP.

Yesterday, I wanted to change my time for Chefs de France, and had no trouble at all, and we are leaving in 15 days.

I guess it just depends, especially the time of year that you are going. I still make my ADR's 180 days out, but of course, I end up making changes. :goodvibes

Just a couple of days ago I made reservations for Valentines Day evening at EP, I was surprised to have my choice of restaurant and preferred time. I thought that Valentine's Day would be booked by now

Or could the ease in reservations be due to the poor economy and the fact that people can't tap their home equity and use it for a vacation? WDW made some deals early on, before the 2008 took affect...the bounceback, which continued in one form or another for months being the deal I'm thinking of. WDW makes lots more money w/ FULL restaurants...think of the alcohol tabs and the tips those bring in. I'm guessing there will be some more great deals as the year goes on...
