I personally wouldn't do well with the couple of really late dinners, but that's just me. Overall, I think the plan looks good!

totally understandable, our family usually eats later anyway (around 730) so it wont be to much of a change. the 9:15 dinner is only because we want to see Happily Ever After from The Contemporary Hotel @ 9. We were planning on arriving about 850 and checking in. Then depending on when we can be seated either watching from inside the restaurant or the viewing deck.

So you listed the times of Illuminations and Happily Ever After but you have ADRs that conflict with them. You don't plan to see them?

We plan to see illuminations from La Hacienda and Happily ever after form California grill.

The seating with a view is very limited at LaHacienda so just be aware of that. Also, people ahead of you may not be leaving those seats in time for you to watch.

You can only drive to the front of Fort Wilderness, not to Pioneer Hall. You will have to take an internal bus to dinner.
It is highly unlikely that you will secure one of the few tables with a view of Illuminations at that time. I would eat early and watch Illuminations after dinner outside around the lagoon.
And having a table for HEA at Ca Grille is unlikely as well.

if we need to get up to see illuminations we will, not a life or death for us to have a window seat. Also at Ca Grill we can watch from the observation deck if not in a place where we can see the fireworks that well. As long as you have a ADR sometime that day you are allowed to use the deck.

We've eaten in La Hacienda during Illuminations a few times. There really is no where to get up and go to to view Illuminations without negatively impacting other diners. There isn't any "standing room " either inside or out. When we didn't have a table with a view we couldn't see at all.

What time would be good to make an ADR and request a window table to view Illuminations? I was thinking 7:30pm?

A few years ago I was booking an anniversary dinner for a friend at CG, and it was suggested that we booked for 7 if they wanted to be at a table to watch the fireworks at 9. It seemed a little early to me, but nope, we booked for 7, and it worked out perfectly.

I'd think 7 at La Hacienda as well. I think people will stake out those tables and not move.
