There is so much helpful information on this board and everyone seems truly eager to assist with questions. Thank You!

Doing all the leg work without DH has been easier than I thought. Called a guide a two nights ago and he is sending a package. I am about 80% sure that we are going to go with SSR rather than a resale at BCV or BWV. I did the online tour (even got DH to take a look) of the resort and it looks just beautiful and relaxing. The gym and spa sold my husband! I have a few more questions as I wait for my package and before calling our guide (I tried doing a search with no luck):

How do you make a reservation? By telephone? There was one post I read to mean a written request is submitted. Also, when calling on your 11 months or 7 months out, can you request it for your whole stay on that first day or do you have to call for each individual day as it reaches the 11/7 months out? I sure hope that question makes sense?

Will I be able to purchase annual passes with the discount for my whole family or just for DH and I who will be on the contract?

Are rooms assigned at check-in or is it like the resorts where a room controller assigns them ahead of time or is the unit assigned at time of booking? I saw a page (I can't rememeber where on DIS I found it anymore) where members comment on a particular room number at a resort and give it a condition rating. I guess I'm just trying to figure out the purpose of that list.

Thank you for bearing with me. I wish I could promise these will be my last questions but I just don't know at this point! I am so happy we are finally going to take the plunge after wanting it for so many years!

Congratulations on your decision! It's great to have you with us.

You can make reservations by telephone, or by e-mail. The phone method is "real-time" while e-mail can take up to 48 hours to get a response about your reservation.


You can only make reservations based on your checkout date, so if calling 11-7 months prior to your checkout date, you would call day by day, otherwise you could reserve all of your days with one call.

You can purchase APs for everyone who lives at the same address as you do.

Nobody knows how rooms are assigned. It seems to be different all the time.

Bought my first 250 points this month in my own name. Then added on at VWL before I even closed. I am just as excited as you are.
