Reservation system upgrading

I just called to ask a question about my reservation, and the CM couldn't help me because the computers are upgrading. Is this for the rumor about tomorrow? Or just general upkeep? Couldn't they also do this at night

This doesn't surprise me, I am unable to access my online reservation right now.

Also, they have been upgrading all week, accessing your trip on the phone has also been hit or miss for me.

Some other posts on here have suggested that there might be public codes coming out tomorrow. I don't know more than that. It may just be wishful thinking.

I'm just guessing here, but they probably have to do a series of upgrades to multiple systems ... one unlucky/unplanned break and whatever schedule they were on goes poof!

They are having server issues right now, one just when down about 10 minutes ago, so some CMs are not able to book. Didn't sound at all scheduled to me from what I was hearing

When I spoke to a CM yesterday to inquire in case any mysterious codes had attached themselves to my name without my knowledge (sadly, no) she helpfully told me that I MUST check back on Monday. It sounded like she was reading something to herself to check the date.

Of course it is hard to tell what is going on. I'm sure that codes will come out eventually for something as they always do.

More like they're running a process against the database with something like this that is bogging down the system ....

Hahaha, Lucincia- too funny! You just gave me my first laugh of the day! (And on a Monday, that's not easy to do!)

Just wanted to bump to see if anyone finds out what is going on with the new system upgrade and/or announcement of anything?

My first thoughts this morning were to run to the DIS and see what the "check back on Monday" thing was all about. Anyone have any news???

Best thing now is to not bring attention to my reservation.

I still am amazed that I was allowed to book an October promo in January. That normaly doesn't happen. I would expect to get wind of an October promo in mid summer. You have to wonder if everyone being able to book the code throughout the year now will affect if promos are released later.
