Ok, 2 questions about making dining reservations. This is our first trip on free dining from 12/14 - 12/20. Also our first trip where reservations need to be done so far in advance.
We are going with extended family who have their own reservation. We have them paired up in My Disney Experience. They have Deluxe dining plan and my wife and I currently have the QS free dining. When I try to make reservations for TS or a dinner show (Hoop-Dee-Doo, etc) it wants me to pay the whole reservation for 5 up front on my credit card. If my family member with the deluxe dp made those reservations, would it just be counted against their dp and not have to pay with a credit card? How can we realistically make reservations for all 5 when we have different dp's? Will we be able to change how we pay for the meal when we're there that day?
Second question is about reservations for restaurants during the MVMCP. Are those restaurants just closed during that time (Be Our Guest, Cinderella's Royal Table, etc) or are they open and there's a special process of making reservations on those days? That event takes place 4-5 nights of our 7 day trip so that's likely hampering our ability to make BOG or CRT dinner reservations if those aren't available.
