Reservation question

I just got wait-listed for a trip to Hilton Head in August. I asked for a 1 or 2 bedroom. No availability. I then went to travelocity and to my dismay, I was able to book a two bedroom villa at the Disney Hilton Head Resort??? Why is there availability there but not directly with DVC?
