Reservation Numbers

I have been reading about the new way to book ADRs and I have a question for all of you. I booked my airfare and room thru Expedia. Staying at POR in December, but I have an expedia reservation number not a disney one. I called Disney and they told me they will not have our reservation number until about one week before our stay, does this mean I can't take advantage of the new system? This doesn't seem right since I am staying on site and have already paid for my room. What should I do next?

I would call Expedia. If you have a confirmation, they must have your reservation number. I have read at least one or two posts where people have explained this to the CM and they still were able to make their ADR's. Good luck!!
