Reservation Issue

We usually stay off site, so I'm not familiar with Disney resorts too much. Yesterday when the 2020 discounts came out I booked a room for February. At the end of booking I got an error message saying it couldn't be completed online and to phone. I didn't have time to spend an hour or two on the phone so was just going to leave it for now. But when I log into my disney account the reservation is listed with a confirmation number and our credit card has been charged.

I have not received any confirmation email, is one normally sent? Has this happened to anyone else? I'd rather not spend an hour on hold if not necessary.

Thanks everyone!! Just thought it was strange we received no confirmation email. When I look at the reservation in my MDE it says more details in email or letter - and we don’t have either.

I think sometimes their emails lag. I've had it take a day or two for emails to come through after booking/making payments/modifying reservations.
 
Agreed with above. The emails sometimes take a little while (sometimes a few days to come in). You will get a little booklet with information on your reservation in the mail. That takes a couple weeks though.
 
An email only comes sometimes. If you have a confirmation number in MDE you should be set.
OP you can call and ask for an email. It will show pricing and what you have paid.

It seems like when they drop deals the 1st few days these sort of issues increase. As long as you are good in MDE you should get a confirmation in a few days. ( Also log in and make sure they have the correct email address listed - they are supposed to use this one BUT I have had old email addresses pop up from time to time )
 
I would print off your current information and call to get an email sent.
