Reservation Help

I have been planning a trip for January and recently someone has decided they no longer wanted to go, I have already made all the reservations for the trip. Would I be able to call and take off one person from each reservation or would it be better to try and get all new ones and cancel the existing ones? Thanks in advance!

Personally, I would not do a thing. You do not get penalized for showing up short a person at a reservation.

I would NOT do anything from the computer. If you are changing from a 5 top to a 4 top, then maybe call and talk to someone but I would NOT cancel your ressies!

I would change your existing ones, otherwise the times available may be different from what you had planed. Also as long as one person in your party shows up for an ADR that is not prepaid you will not be charged any extra fees. I am not sure about pay in advance, but to be refunded for their meal you would have to cancel their reservation.

I wouldn't do anything. You won't be penalized for having one less guest, and I'd be afraid that a phone CM would screw everything up for you. Just let sleeping dogs lie.

I would call to change....it may be the difference of someone else being able to add that additional person to their reservation.

I did this many times for our trip this summer. It wasn't that big of a deal. I just called and let them know that I wanted to MODIFY the reservation to take one person off. All of my reservations were changed with no issues at all. I would make sure that they know to modify it and not cancel/rebook it because you could lose it during that time.
