I am going down to DW the first week of November and we usually eat around 5:00. Would PS be necessary for this time at Ohana's? We don't want to feel obligated to be anywhere at a certain time.

Almost every time (except for a few exceptions) we have always had to wait at Ohana's even with PS Ressies.

I think once we got in without a wait. Usually we are waiting in the lobby with a million other people!

You could always make a PS, and then cancel them if you decide not to go. It depends on how bad you definately want to go. If you are not set either way then winging it might be the way to go. If you really HAVE to go, then the PS is definately the way to go.

I would definitely recommend making PS's for the entire week. We are going the first week in November as well 11/1 - 11/8 and I have been having a hard time when I need to make any changes to my times. I originally made all my PS's at the 90 day mark but needed to change things when the park hours were posted. For instance, I was unable to get a PS at all on 11/1 for dinner at 1900 Park Fare! We decided to stick with the time we had on 11/2. I think this week is going to be a little more busy then usual this year. Just my opinion ;) !

Good luck in whatever you decide. We will be at 'Ohana on 11/1 for dinner and we can't wait :hyper: !!

I agree - making a PS is a good idea - we've waited even with PS at Ohana.

Yes, you probably need one.

Remember that you can always cancel if you decide not to go.

Ill echo what everyone else has said...make a ps and you can always cancel. :D
Weve gone to Ohana twice. Both times our ps was at 5:00(opening time) and it was mobbed then. Both times it was about 5:15 or maybe even later when we were seated.

thanks so much, I am going to call for a reservation tonight. I hope it's as good as everybody says.:wave2:

O'hana is very popular. I 'd make a PS just to be sure. Bring your appetite, there's alot of food to eat there!

How long should we plan on a spending here for meal and waiting to be seated? We will be eating here before LaNouba so will have to get ourselves to DTD.

The meal itself has taken us about 1 hour and wait time can always vary. I would probably give myself 1 1/2-2 hours just to be safe. You never know when you might have slow service or something and you dont want to be stressed during your meal.
Enjoy!

I agree with CamColt - I'd give myself 2 hours for Ohana & then add transportation time to that. Better to be a bit early to LaNouba than to miss anything.....

What would you recommend as the best PS time to choose to be able to watch WISHES during dinner?

Depend what time Wishes is scheduled for during your visit - Find that out & make your PS for around 1 hour in advance.

I'll say "ditto" to giving yourself at least an hour and a half for dinner at O'Hana. My DD and I went this past Saturday. We had a 7:00 PS and had to wait about 20 minutes. My DD wasn't up for a long meal that night so we left after about an hour - and they hadn't even made it to our table yet with the skewers of a few of the meats. I did get the pork and shrimp and both were very good as was the fresh pineapple with caramel dip (who'd have thought of that combination but I'm going to serve it at gathering sometime in the future).

FYI - I think the servers were just starting to circulate with other meat skewers as we were leaving but I didn't feel like I could eat anymore anyway so wasn't disappointed to miss them.
