"Reservation Conflict"?

Help! I wasn't able to get BoG breakfast back when it first opened, but later was able to get a reservation for 2. There are 4 in my party, and it was my understanding that I could book a second reservation for 2 later, if they came available. This morning one popped up, and I tried to book it, but MDE kept saying "reservation conflict-- you already have another reservation at this time." The only option I had was to either keep my old reservation or cancel it... no option to keep it AND book the new one.

I KNOW you can have multiple BoG reservations, since it's frequently suggested to split your party to get more of the pastry trays (not my goal, but I know I've seen it done!)

Do I have to do this over the phone??

I just used my daughters name and phone number when i needed two separate ADR's. It was way easier, and I just made sure she knew that if there were any issues, she needed to make sure SHE canceled the ones in her name. We needed to add people on to several existing ADR's and I could not so she was responsible for those.

It's easiest to have a second MDE profile set up already. So if you have an existing ADR and another comes up you can sign in and book it with the secondary account. YOu can later link the second ADR to your main account.

Hhhmm. I'm not sure how to go about doing that. Of the 4 in our party, only I have an MDE account. The original booking is in my name. So am I going to have to create an account for my husband and book under his name? Then do I need to link our accounts somehow? All the MB's are linked ot my account-- would I need ot link to his too? SIgh. It's all so confusing. Maybe I should just cancel what I have and hope a group of 4 pops up. :-(

Try booking over the phone with the automated system.. you can then link the ADR to your MDE.

OK, well an even better time just popped up, and I just called and got it. I will still set up an account for DH in case this comes up again! Thanks, all!

That's weird, I would think that's something you should be able to do. I wonder if it has something to do with the names on the reservation, i.e. if your name is on the first reservation it won't let you book another one. Maybe it might have worked if you assigned 2 other people in your party to the first reservation before you tried to book the second? Or maybe it just needs to be done with 2 different MDE accounts.

Also you can call and they can book two at the same time. When our party of four needed two reservations at two different restaurants, the phone line was perfectly happy to help us.

Odd, I got this a few days ago and I thought for sure I saw a "Continue Anyways" button. I actually needed to cancel my other reservation so I did't end up using it but I'm pretty sure it was there.
