Reservation changed to a HA one?

I have stayed in HA rooms several times (I actually don't find anything wrong with them) and have never gotten the bathroom floor wet while taking a shower.
I guess you are referring to the roll in shower--which some of the HA rooms have. (The studio I was assigned at VGC and the studio at BCV both had tubs with seats that folded down). I have had rooms with roll in showers that didn't get the bathroom floor wet (awesome design) and others that did get the surrounding floor wet (not so awesome).
Really, what is different between the roll in shower and say the big shower in the master bathroom of the tree house villas? Maybe a glass shower door and theming. Maybe it isn't possible to do anything different, but this is Disney--they have magic mirrors that have TVs in them for gosh sakes.

I realize that they are 'unacceptable' on the DIS and I always wonder how folks who need them must feel when they read about how bad it is that Disney has to have rooms that meet their needs :(
If someone choses to be offended because someone else doesn't want a HA room, that's on them. There's no reason for anyone to feel guilty not wanting one. I didn't seen anyone here question the requirement or need.

So those of you who have a fit when assigned one because they are "inferior" will someday be the one's having a fit because someone in your party needs the room and it's not available.

For some, like myself an HA room is unacceptable. We need the tub for our daughter who is three. She cannot take a shower yet. They aren't inferior just not acceptable for those with young children. Period. I would not accept one of these rooms period. There is no other option. I will not go 10-15 nights without bathing my daughter.

Not to derail this thread but....

While 2 weeks in a HA studio when you didnt need it might be too long - I assure most 2 year olds (and even more 3 year olds) are perfectly fine to take a shower - and often even enjoy it...if you were there for a few days, I would encourage you not to overreact and try something new..

Yes - sometimes washing there hair is a little tricky but I rarely get wet from it...(although at 1 and 2 years old my kids just hopped in with one of us for a shower on vacation...saved time!!)

I'm not overreacting. Your children may have liked showers mine does not. Freaks her out and I happen to know many children her age and older that are the same. For families like us, we need the tub.

While I agree with you in a sense, at the end of the day you have no way to guarantee you don't get this and technically, no ground to stand on to demand otherwise. That's my personal dilemma, the roll in shower in not acceptable (the rest is really OK), but the system has the rooms and no current (or reasonable future) way to assure you don't get one. So if I were in your situation I'd ask to be moved if there wasn't anything available today but I would be fine with paying the move charge.
