Reservation Cancelled?

I went to look at my resort reservation again on the Disney World website today and my reservation did not come up under my account. I went to add it back to my account as I figured it was a glitch, and I got the following message. "Unfortunately, the reservation you are looking for is no longer in our system." Has this happened to anyone before? I've been on hold with reservations for a while now, I was wondering if maybe this happened to other people? :confused3
 
I know this has happened several times to me with ADR's, and when I called up to have them corrected they assured me the problem was fixed, but it continued to recur. Apparently for some reason they had been putting my ADR's made online under a really old address that had been in their system when I lived in another state, instead of my current address and email. I got it fixed after 3 separate calls over 3 weeks. This may not be the same for you, but who knows? :)Hope this helps.

Hahaha the CM has no idea why it was cancelled either, but it was definitely cancelled. Lovely. :rolleyes2

Oh no!! So sorry. But what happened to your deposit? Where did it go? I hope you can get another reservation without any problem.
 
Now that you know it happened the first time, I would check back once or twice a week just in case it somehow gets cancelled again.

Haha I'm so paranoid to begin with which is how I figured this out today. :rotfl: So sad, but stuff like this happens to me fairly often.:(
 
Oh no!! So sorry. But what happened to your deposit? Where did it go? I hope you can get another reservation without any problem.

Still on hold, the CM is talking to customer relations trying to get it all sorted out for me. I hope I don't have to pay again while still waiting for a refund.

You are not paranoid! You are very excited. My next trip is on November and I look at it almost everyday!!
 
Apparently when I called to update my reservation, there was a slight increase in price and the payment was not collected at the time. (Even though I asked the CM and they said no further payments were required... :rolleyes1) So my reservation was cancelled for lack of payment, but they took the difference today and reinstated my reservation.

Sometimes I am so glad that I am a paranoid freak. It's helpful sometimes. :thumbsup2

I'm glad everything is cleared. It's okay to be paranoid when stuff like this happens. I would freak out too. Just make sure you check the website to make sure you see your reservation there. :)

Haha thanks! I'd have to say I'm probably both, but at this point I've realized that everything that can go wrong for me probably will and I handle things accordingly. :)

ETA: I think I was doubly freaked because this will be my first stay at AKL and I was terrified about losing out on that. :scared:
 
Glad everything was sorted out, but what did you update on res that they charged more? If Im reserved at a resort, the price I reserved at is locked in. so a little curious.

I switched from POR to AKL so the deposit price of one night was higher. Supposedly it was locked in, but then I called to add the AAA discount and it they should have taken the upcharge payment then, but didn't. :confused3

Glad it's all worked out! I hear AKL is quite beautiful.
