Reservation/Cancellation Policies

I would like to make my reservations ASAP for an onsite resort. What are the cancellation policies just in case something happens and I have to cancel. If I make my reservations and I come across a better deal can you apply that to your reservations you already have, such as buying an entertainment book. How much do you need to send upfront? When do they want to be paid in full? Where is the best place, cheapest, easiest to buy passes? So many questions. Forgive me.

First of all I believe there may be more than one cancelation policy depending on whom you book your reservation with. If you call the hotel directly they will require a one night deposit, balance to be paid in full at hotel. Cancellation is one week prior to arrival date. If you book a "vacation package" that holds a different cancelation and payment policy. If you book online that will also be different.

If you book your room and afterwards come across a better deal you should be able to change it, again, depending on how you booked it in the first place.

As far as passes go....how long will you be visiting? Might you return again within a year? AAA has some great deals now as does this site offers discounts on passes.

I can only speak for my experience. We booked through the 1-800-BeAStar # and they've charged 1 night's deposit and there is a full refund if cancelled by 5 days prior to our first night. We booked a room only and bought the Bonus passes on line.

I booked for $189/night. Credit card bill came in for one night's deposit. A better deal came up for $160/night. I changed my original reservations and was told that I would be credited the difference on my final payment at check-out.
