Reservation booked w/free dining package--Can I still change resorts?

I know the deadline to book this package has expired, but I was wondering if I can make changes to an existing reservation (specifically, change resorts) and still keep the free dining. I am afraid to call and ask for fear they will somehow ruin my current reservation and I will end up with no free dining plan! Anyone tried this? Thanks for any info!!

I doubt it - because there were a limited number of rooms available at each resort for the "free dining plan."

I am interested in this information also. We have decided to take another trip next year and I was thinking of switching to a moderate resort for this trip.

I booked the MYW package with free dining back in June, and I've switched my resort not once, but THREE times without changing the package. If you're within 45 days of your trip, you'll pay a penalty for changing resorts, unless you're upgrading. (If you're upgrading, they waive the fee.) I had no problems at all. My reservation number and reservation date remained the same. Just confirm with the CM when you call that you will not be losing the free dining. I did each time because I was worried too! The free dining is the reason I decided to go this fall in the first place!

Thank you for all the help. I'll post the results if I actually try it. I think I might try to add an extra day instead of changing resorts. Or maybe for once I will just stick with my original plan and not continually second guess myself!!Thanks again for the replies!!

Please let us know what they say if you decide to change. I was considering moving from Mod to Deluxe but had the same concerns you do! What if they messed up the free dining!

Since the offer for free dining is now over, if you change resorts you will lose the free dining. That's what I was told when I wanted to make a change.

We just made a change in our package two days ago. We started out with 9 nights at POP with free dining. DH changed it to 7 nights at POP with free dining, then 2 nights room only AP rate at BWI.

We didn't lose our free dining, we didn't get charged a change fee (because we upgraded to Deluxe the last 2 days) and all is well. They will credit our credit card back for the remaining 2 nights at POP balance - we've already paid the entire balance on Aug 1, and we've already paid BWI in full.

I would call anyway and check.
