Reservation at Tony's around the parade time?

The parade will pass here a little after the parade start time. LTT is one of our must do restaurants...we love it that much. I'd actually pick that over Tony's if given the choice, but I still enjoyed my meal there. Maybe we just got really lucky when we ate there or maybe my taste buds aren't that sophisticated, but just remember that if you pick LTT you won't be able to watch the parade pass by while you're eating.
I have been going to Disney for years but cant remember when it goes by LTT. So if my memory is right it heads that way when it is ending?

I haven't eaten at Tony's in years but I would give it a shot for an outside table 100%, I know it's not popular but I feel until you've experienced it, it's not my place to tell someone not to go. Everyone has different tastes. I don't know how feasible it is to get a table outside but if you let them know you would wait a little longer, they might be able to accommodate you. We've done Liberty Tree around parade time for a late lunch and asked to be by a window and it's worked for us twice. The only downside is that LTT has the fake old time wavy windows so the parade looks a little odd but you adjust quickly enjoying it with food and AC. Enjoy.

The afternoon parade begins in Frontierland, so it will pass by a little after the 3pm start time.

If you like your chicken Parmesan frozen in the middle, this place is for you.
I ordered the chicken parm. It was a 2 inch piece of think raw chicken. The cheese slid right off! The chef should take the monorail over to Epcot. He could take lessons from the chef’s who work at the restaurants in Italy!

I don't always agree with their reviews but for us they've been pretty spot on with their restaurant reviews- here's there recent take away of TTS

Some good with some bad

The last paragraph from that article says it all.

Overall, Tony’s Town Square is not a restaurant we recommend. It was not as bad as we feared, but it was by no means good. If it has improved in the last couple of years (and I truly question whether that’s the case), I can only imagine how bad it must’ve been before. I don’t think it’s the absolute worst table service restaurant at Walt Disney World–but I would put it in the bottom 10. There are counter service restaurants in Magic Kingdom that are better than Tony’s, and I have a tough time envisioning any scenario that has us returning to give Tony’s a second chance.

If you haven’t tried Tony’s in a while, you might want to give it another chance.

Our Ratings of Tony's Town Square: (*rev 01/14/2018*)

. . . food prep speed: B
. . . food selection: C
. . . seating quantity: C
. . . seating comfort: C
. . . eatery atmosphere: B
. . . eatery convenience: A

.
Our Recommendations:
. . . appys:... Zucchini Fries
. . . entree:.. no recommendation (zilch-none-nada)
. . . dessert:. Pistachio Crème Brûlée
.
NOTE1: The staff is usually friendly, but not very attentive to guest needs. The eatery atmosphere is pleasant. The food is not something to write home about. Meats seem to be reheated or microwaved from frozen, and are average for the Italian entrées. They are less than the quality of CHEF-BOY-AR-DEE. The sauce may be tomato, but it is definitely not a true marinara. The appetizers are average. In a hunger-pinch, Tony's might do, but there are far better choices.
.
NOTE2: On the plus side, the desserts are simple, but pretty darn good.
.
NOTE3: Hard to justify going the first time, let alone going back.

We ate there last time we went solo (without kids) with a reservation for one of the last MSEP packages and found it to be quite good. Not remarkable, but better than expected. Very pleasant experience. To address your question, not sure about the parade because that's sure to draw a larger crowd but we ate there once (seated outside) during the Flag Retreat and we had a great view and enjoyed it tremendously.

I came here to ask the same question as the OP and saw this thread first. For those with awful experiences at Tony's when was your last visit? We went about 8years ago and it wasn't amazing, but it definitely wasn't disgusting either. How many tables on the patio and garden room(partial potential parade views)?

Never had such at Tony's. I've had lousy food at 'insert your favorite restaurant here' though!!

Our experience was good when we dined there. I have it booked for the parade luncheon package, so there was nothing that made me cringe. I will drop the package if my Nieces have no interest in the parade though, becuase the experience was not outstanding.

OP- dining is subjective and what one person finds repulsive another will enjoy. We liek Chef Mickeys, and ther eis little love for that place on this board. We are done with 'Ohana because the food quality and the service is no longer worth that amount of money to us, but there are plenty who disagree. I always suggest that if there is a restaurant YOU want to try, go. See for yourself if you enjoy it.

Very true. So many love Liberty Tree Tavern but pot roast and mashed potatoes is blah to me. I find many of the differing views coincides with where someone grew up. Much of the mid-west and parts of the east are meat, bread and potato lovers. They come out west and feel the bold flavored foods are over the top, over spiced and dislike them. People from the west who head east often find the foods bland and boring. I'm in that latter category.

I know! I hated the pot roast at LTT. If maybe family wants to dine there I find something, but it’s not a favorite. I did not line the toffee cake thing either. But what do I know? I like Chef Mickey’s! Lol!!
