If we want to have dinner at Margaritaville on Thursday October 1, would it be necessary to make a reservation or just show up?

It does'nt hurt. There is a booth as you walk into CW where you make ressies.Better safe then waiting a hour to be seated sorry.

Forget to add Margaritville is one of the Koolest rest in Orlando if you never been..:thumbsup2

IMO

Haven't been yet, but we really want to go during our trip and didn't want an extreme wait time to ruin that. I'll give them a call. Thanks.

If you're staying on property, you'll get priority seating by showing your roomkey. If not, then go with the reservation.

Your room key gets priority seating during the week but not for Fri-Sun. If you go to the Universal website and look under dining there is a number for to call Margaretaville directly. We did this for our Aug. trip and I had my reservation made two weeks before we left. When we got to the restaurant we gave the name and were seated within 5 min.

Whenever we go for lunch it's never a wait and we're always seated. The only time you would need a reservation would be for dinner. I tried to get in this spring as a resort guest and I got the oddest look from the host, like I had 2 heads for asking. She pretty much told me that being a resort guest didn't matter. The next time I'll just go to the kiosk first.

Just for another opinion, I've never waited more than about 15 minutes, walk up everytime, I do stay onsite, but I don't remember even telling them this when I went, pretty sure I didn't so it was a regular wait I guess.

I've always been able to get priority seating with my roomkey any day of the week. One exception being that Bubba Gumps doesn't participate in the priority seating.

Know how you feel and have gotten the same response and don't want to offend or make anyone mad but the place isn't what its cracked up to be and everytime we have went we always got bad service and felt like we were being ignored

I mean I wouldn't say its the greatest restaurant ever, but they do have a great cheeseburger and the volcano nachos are really good. Its more like good bar food kinda thing. Its more about the atmosphere, great theming and vibes. THe volcano exploding is really cool!!

Dont forget to ask for the Perfect Margarita. it is not on the menu, but it is the 'perfect' margarita for sure.

I don't have a room key and I'm going for dinner. so I am going to make a reservation in the next couple days. I hope being a couple weeks in advance, it won't be a problem.
Thanks for the help.

There shouldn't be a problem. Many of the Citywalk diners are walk-ups.
