We've got a trip planned to leave on 12/7 - 12/16 @ CSR, but DW's grandma is really sick and we don't know how she's going to fare in the short-term.

DW is very close to her and I started looking into the pentalties, etc. for cancelling or re-schedulling a trip. If grandma passes, then the airlines will likely waive fees (maybe just a difference in fares for reschedulling) and WDW has a penalty too on the MYW trips, but the CRO told me that they may waive that in the event of a death... I refused trip insurance when booking (I know that makes me the foolish one!!!)

The other thing is I don't want to take DW away if her mind is not on VACA even if grandma is hanging in there... I'd hate to get down there just to come right back. DW is pretty sensitive (nobody ever warns men of that before they get married!!! we just celebrated 14 yrs!!!) but seriously, this is a tough one for me... I want to do the right thing but still not lose a ton of cash and the 3 kids (9, 6 & 2) are all primed too.

Keep us in your prayers... not necessarily to keep grandma alive, but that everybody can be comforted... it's one of those times for DW.
