Resale vs Direct Club ID

My BCV contract closed on Friday and Disney was notified with 24 hours. Based on the info on these boards it usually takes Disney a few weeks to transfer the membership to you and another few weeks to load the points. So I was surprised when a new number showed up on my MDE account under Memberships & Passes. My question is does a Resale Club ID look different than a Direct Club ID? My Direct Club ID is 7 numbers with a . and then another number (1234567.8), this new number is 11 consecutive numbers. I would be surprised if the resale was showing up so fast but am not sure what this other number could be? Thanks.
 
Can you clarify if your resale purchase is the same UY and deeded with the same names?
 

Usually you will see the new contract number come up, hopefully in a day or 2 your will have your points loaded into your account.

It is easier for DVC to add contract to an existing owner, than to create a new account.

I see that other ID number on my MDE profile as well. I actually see it twice (one has "DVC-" before it). All of our points were purchased direct with the last purchase back in 2009.

Right that's exactly what I had. One with the DVC in front of it too. Gone today.

If they aren't deeded the same, it will be a new member number. This shows up as a dropdown on the DVC website. You have to toggle between the two member numbers. The xx.001 is which contract you are using. I have several contracts in each member number, so xxx.002 xxx.003 and so on.

I was able to bug them in chat as an existing member to get points loaded.

Right that's exactly what I had. Mine just happened to coincide with my resale contract being submitted for transfer so I thought it might have something to do with it. But it was gone in one day from MDE so I have no idea. My direct club ID (1234567.8) is still there and my Disount still shows Y.
