Resale value - Master bath w/o tub

I wouldn't worry about it. This thread shows that for every person who would reject your house without a master tub, there's another person who would buy your house for a luxurious shower.

That is what I concluded. I am glad I asked because it really did make me see that while some people will walk right out if there isn't a tub others would be thrilled. Now we just have to decide on something we really love. There are way too many choices.

Now can you poll the fireplace issue? I hate the fireplace in the family room where the TV should go.

Realtor here. It depends on your area and what is the norm for the area. I can tell you that around here, buyers expect a shower and a jacuzzi tub in the master bathroom. I have had clients pass on homes that did not have a jacuzzi tub in the master. If your bathroom is very dated, however, updating the bathroom could help it sell quicker than if you didn't. I would really look for a way to have both. Good luck.
