Resale Timeline...First Time Purchase

Hi everyone! I am new to this site and a new DVC member. My wife and I decided to make the leap and purchase DVC in January. We did a ton of research and decided that we wanted Beach Club as our home resort. We put the initial offer in on 1-13-20 for $134 per point on Fidelity. We read a ton about the differing timelines other DVC members experienced throughout their process. We could not be happier with how quickly our process was completed. All in, it took about 6 weeks to go from initial offer to getting the email from DVC to setup our account (which we received on 2-26-20). We are now just waiting for the points to get posted to our account. Fidelity was awesome (Frank was our agent) and First American wasn't bad either. I think we got a little lucky because our sellers submitted things quickly, which helped the process go quickly. Either way, it wasn't a terrible process...or at least not as bad as we had read about. We couldn't be happier to be DVC members!!

That is fantastic! You definitely beat me. I also went through fidelity on my first resale on 12/27 and still waiting on points to load as well. Hopefully we'll both see them soon.

In the end, I guess it doesn't really matter unless you are planning on taking a vacation sooner rather than later. But the suspense is definitely a killer when you are going through it. At least it is behind us!

Welcome home! Great choice of home resort. We bought our Beach Club points through Fidelity just over a year ago and I would definitely use them again.
