Resale shopping again.. my heart wants one thing but my head says another. Give your opinions.

We had a coffee shop called thatn"Beaners." They changed the name, but no one who lived here knew why. It had to be explained, because we didn't/don't use that word like that. I am glad they changed it, since so many people move around and know how it was used to hurt others.
I haven’t heard that term since college when my friends who are of Mexican descent would refer to each other that way when they were intoxicated! 🤣

This thread has me wanting to eat tacos….

As for the main topic at hand haven’t had a chance to fully read the whole thread but in my experience if you are okay with pool garden view than it was super easy for me to book multiple 2br lock off every time I look at 7 months. Yea it’s not BW view but imo part of the charm is getting down to the BW/green area and hanging out if I need that nightlife vibe. Plus the pool/garden view was nice.

We got two rooms with great views for us and our friends we invited.

Theme park view!!! Imagine how many points that view of Tower of terror would cost you if it was at PolyTower. 🤪

I will say, unequivocally, that almost all of the brick-and-mortar Mexican in and near Ann Arbor is bad. There are a couple of hole-in-the-wall shops that are okay, but probably only one of them would last more than a few months in LA.

I keep wondering if Detroit has anything that is any better. There might be. I also wonder if any of the food trucks are better. I am thinking of doing the grand tour.
Kzoo has a couple ok spots....def not worth making the drive though.

I've spent a chunk of time at the DVC pool, and I've never seen this person there. Interesting.
That's unfortunate. Like I said, I don't know if it's year round or just during slower months. We go end of August/September every year for 2 weeks (split between WL and Poly) and we've always had a server making the rounds at the BRV pool. It's my nephews favorite thing, to order poolside and eat it in one of the cabanas. The server isn't there all the time, they would make a round every hour or so. It's the GP menu.

And some fireworks from the show at night too plus the pool is an attraction. We loved the view and the chart seems reasonable but then again we aren’t the most point efficient family. IMO I’d gamble and buy more ccv or other long life points and “settle” for pool/garden view.

Sorry if I already said this but I got this view buy building a list of rooms I wanted from touring plans https://touringplans.com/ and providing that to MS. Worked well and we got two rooms with awesome views.

So for our stay to try new places and go see the resorts I currently have Poly and CCV. VGF just opened up. Which would be more beneficial to stay at VGF or Poly?

I’d prob do poly since they’re in active sales and have the newest resort. You can walk over to VGF easily. I’m guessing it’s BPK that’s available?

Beneficial in what way? Park access?
In relation to deciding what resort to buy, was originally debating BWV over BLT. (but hasn't became avialable yet)

hmm. Deluxe studio. I assume that not APK?

If you like to take the monorail to MK then Poly is the better choice because by the time it comes to VGF it's usually full. I am more of walking person so I prefer the option of the walking path at VGF.
No idea if I will like the monorail. I will have to look up how far the walk is

Exactly! I love the monorail so that's my vote. Also, I just like the rooms better at Poly because they're bigger and themed more strongly imo. Plus the GF main lobby is a construction site right now

Also, at Poly you can easily walk to EPCOT monorail

When we were there in March we were able to get a spot every time, although we broke into 2 groups once.

It’s also a VERY easy walk to monorail station from the original building.

We were not trying to rope drop since we knew the rides we were going to get on with LL on different days and knocked the rest off with an after hours event.

That being said… the smell of the monorail…. I’ll go with a boat….

I am super sensitive to smells. I have never noticed a distinct smell on the DLR monorail. Im going to get on the monorail when we go for good measure. But I do not see myself liking it if it smells.

Oh…. the MK monorail has a smell…. it smells like a military base…. it’s not that long of a ride from GF to MK….

What room types at VGF and PVB? Do you want a true kitchenette or are we talking larger villas?
